2 Rooms - 1 Reservation - Split $500 Gift Card?

We are BEYOND THRILLED with our PIN offer! Our gang wasn't going to head on over to WDW this year, but when we got the $500 GC offer we couldn't resist! Only problem - we're headed on down for Easter! YIKES! Hopefully with the help of TGM we won't have too much of a problem (right, please tell me I'm right?!?!). Anyhoo... here's my question, since we have two rooms on the ressie, do we split the $500 GC? I checked my online ressie and it said $500 GC guests 1 and 5 - does that mean we split it? Anyone have a clue? I sure don't! Either way -- I'm going to DISNEY!!!!

I've been to Disneyworld at Easter, and although it was crowded, it was lovely! Don't worry, the crowds were nothing like the week after Christmas! Easter morning at MK was beautiful - the cute "parade" with folks dressed all "Eastery" singing on Main Street was fun! Just plan ahead, and you'll be fine. I've heard great things about Tour Guide Mike from friends.

I think if you have two separate reservations, you'd get two gift cards, but really you should call Disney to find out. Maybe there is a limit to one reservation for the pin code.

I think it is one card per ressie. But if you put the second room on a different ressie you would get 2 cards. That's what we did in January. 2 rooms, 2 ressie numbers and we each got a gift card!

I think you can use the code more than once...( well try to at least) that way you get more than one GC. I'm going to set up a charge on my KTTW card that will get paid off by the GC. Thats how im working my budget.

I posted this question on the main resort board but someone said her card was restricted to merchandise only and not food or tickets- so

For all you people who have used the gift card that comes with the reservation package this year- was there any restrictions on the card like only available for use for merchandise or can it be used for food and tickets?

Oh, my pin code was for my Dad but under my address and the reservationist said that I had one too for the same deal but under my name- they said if I made two reservations that both rooms would get a gift card.

The GC is said to be a Disney GC and "can be used at select participating WDW Resorts, Disneyland, DCL, Disney Store locations in the US and Disneyshopping.com. It is not redeemable for cash, will not be replaced if lost or stolen ... and is subject to terms and conditions of the Disney GC Program..." Whatever that means! LOL

I am within 30 days of travel, so any cancellation will incur at least $100 fee, but I am so incredibly tempted to try to book it again as TWO separate ressies - since right now it is 1 ressie with two rooms. Two GC's would be magnificent especially since my hours at work were just slashed!

I am really glad to hear that others have managed to enjoy "The World" at Easter - I can only imagine how beautiful it must be! Thanks all!

We have booked 2 rooms at Pop with 1 room in my name and 1 room in my husbands name. Soooo, we are getting( 2 )$$500 dollar gift cards. That's $$$$1,000 for us. We are going to use it for food and spending. We also have a Disney charge card and we have $$200 on it that we will be spending for our rewards money. Soooo, all together we have $$1200 for us to use for food and spending for 5 of us. That will be plenty. We are going April 4th for 6 nights. We also had to purchase a 1 day ticket to get this offer. No dining plan since we have $$1200 to spend. We also have 4 days left to use on our water parks and Disney Quest. We are going to SeaWorld for 2 days for $$65 a person. We can't wait. We were just there in October and we had free dining for 5 nights. We had to take our 3 children out of school and we will never do that again, because they are getting older and to make up that much work is very stressful to them since they don't like to miss school.

So when you booked, did you use TWO different ressies and get TWO "Client File" numbers? I have ONE number, but TWO rooms - one with him as the Guest and one with my name. I WISH I could get two gc's but I would likely have to cancel one ressie and redo it or somehting.

Is it 2 adults and 3 kids? If so they will put both rooms on one res. You would have to specify you want two differant resses. What you can do is make a new res with 2 people and then call back and cancel those 2 off the original res

mbanks21, yes, it is 2 adults, 3 children. They put the 3 girls and myself in one room and dh in another room (alllll alone - he keeps teasing me that he is making it a NO GIRLS ALLOWED Room ala Spanky's Clubhouse from the Little Rascals! LOL). Anyway, what you suggest is to make a NEW ressie with, let's say, his name and one of the girls and then cancel them off of the original? Can I do that? == holding head ala Vinnie Barbarino == I am so confused == I just transfered my ressie over to a Travel Agent and I think I am going to make her nuts with this! She was wonderful with us when we did our DCL last year and she may regret working with me now after this one! LOL

Sorry for answering so late. Yes I have 2 different numbers. The cm suggested that we do that and we would get the extra $$$500 to spend. Some are very nice and will go out of their way to help you, but some are not very helpful at all. I was lucky to get some one that was very helpful. I would call back and tell them you wanted to change and if they don't, then ask to be transferred to guest services. If the cm you are on the phone with won't transfer you, then hang up and call back and just ask for guest services. Disney is usually very good to help you any way they can. I think they would prefer to have your business than to loooooose your business. Let me know what happens.

Well, I just transfered over to a Travel Agent - gave her the low down on how I want to be greedy (LOL) and she is going to try (crossing fingers). We are hoping to transfer to a different resort, so that is the PERFECT time to make the 'switch'

pktbMouse I had received a PIN in the mail and pounced on it! It was for $594 per adult for 5 nights with a $500 gift card. We weren't planning on doing a Disney trip this year since we just did the cruise not long ago, but when this came up I jumped on it!

Yes, I have ask about 50 questions about the gift card. I even called back a day later to question a different cm and they all told me as long as it is Disney OWNED. Like the swan & dolphin, they are not Disney owned. We received the email a couple of months ago. But, I'm sure if you call and ask about your household and pin offers they should be able to help you.

We were just there in March and got the $200 gift card. We had 2 rooms each had it's own ressie #. My mother and I used our gift card for souviniers and such did use it Goofy's Candy Store. My sister did use her for food once I think but we were on the Dining Plan so didn't have to use it much for food but I did see other people using it in the park for food. So I would think the $500 cards would be the same.

Well, here's my update

I transfered our reservation over to a travel agent and she just was going through our confirmation and saw that we DO have TWO gift cards - $500 EACH!!!!! She made me crack up because she said it was strange to have TWO cards on ONE ressie, so she checked with two different CMs. I was soooo happy! I told her I thought it might be the case because I saw the GC listed for Guests 1,5. My dh was Guest 5 and I was Guest 1 - we have 2 rooms because we are a family of five. I can't tell you how excited I am!!!!

Now here is my own self created new dilemma -- upgrade to the CSR for $600 (since we are getting $1K back!). OR just stay where we are. I am just afraid if we start bouncing ressies around we might lose that extra GC! LOL What would YOU do?!

Where are you staying? I am so glad to hear you are getting the $$1000. We are getting the $$$1000 too. That's the only reason we are going. Let me know where you are staying and when you are going. We are staying at POP April 4th-11th with 2 rooms.

We'll be at the ASMo - but we're trying to get something at either ASMu or CSR (I'd LOVE CSR since we were supposed to go to Mexico this year and that would give us a bit of that feeling LOL). But at this point our travel agent can't find anything in any other resort so we'll likely stay put. It's scaring me that all the resorts are booked - what in the world will the crowds be like?!?! Oh and we'll be there April 9 - 16th.
