2 Renter privileges questions

Your KTTW is your room key and resort ID. If you don't give them a credit card when you check in, they won't give you computer access at all since that is really a room charge. Same with phone calls.

Thanks for the info about the guards. Let me clarify about the credit card. I mean to say that we will use a credit card for room charges, but we will not use it for charges made in parks or anywhere outside the hotel, so I am asking if it can be transferred from in-law to sister without a problem. I don't intend to break any rules so wondering if one card can be transferred from an in-law to sister since they will be with us at different times. Thanks.

The card will have the name of the registered guest printed on it. If there is a challenge of the card for any reason, the holder would need to provide photo ID matching the name on the card. Each person registered in the room will get their own personalized KTTW card - whether it's being used for charging or not. I'd just explain it at the front desk. It doesn't seem that you are skirting the occupancy limit so there should be no problem to explain the timing for your guests to get KTTW cards for each as they arrive. As long as you are not on the DDP there should be no problem.

I definitely am not trying to skirt any rules or anything, but if I am renting points, do I need to have the member make these requests at the time of reservation or will I be able to go to the front desk and tell them who is with me for a given night so they can get the personalized card? I am trying not to inconvenience the member too much but I also don't want to leave my sister out in the cold.

Just have charging privledge on your cards only and not the guest's cards. We do that all the time. DH and I have charging on our keys, but nobody else in the party does.

If you are getting the DDP, everyone on the reservation is supposed to be listed and the member will need to do that for you. If you will not have the DDP, you can likely jus have the front desk cut a new card when your sister will arrive.

On the DDP, is there somewhere that I can get a cost breakdown to figure out if it's something I should do?

I saw this on the sticky thread:

..
1. Can renters get the same discount as DVC members on tickets to the special events like "Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party" or "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party "? I would guess no, but wanted to make sure. It's not that big a discount anyway (~$3 per person).
...Thank you in advance for your help.

I've bought tickets for guests with the discount. You are not limited to the number of members in your party. So you may not be able to buy them with the discount, but your friend who's renting to you can.

The one time I bought discounted tickets in advance, the only pick up/delivery option was "Will Call". I had to show my DVC member card when I picked up the tickets to prove I was entitled to the discount. If that's still true, the DVC owner would have to pick up the tickets for his/her renter/guest.

I called and used my AP to purchase discounted tickets for 2 dates and I picked them up last week. I didn't have to show my AP, but I did have it with me. I didn't want the mailing option (just to save the cost, I don't know if mailing was an option, in the past I have done that) and I was asked to bring photo ID.
