2 really silly gift card questions

Hi!

I've been hesitating posting my silly disney gift card questions, but here goes!

1. Do I need to keep the barcoded part of the card ( you know how you can break the card from the hanging part) should I keep that in case I lose it?

2. If I make a photocopy of the back of the cards, the copy machine won't demagnetized the cards will it?

You could take a picture of the back of the card instead of copying it - just in case

I would take a picture of the back of the card with your card number and pin. We did that, and I also put all the card numbers, pins and amounts on a spreadsheet so I have everything in one place. I am kind of scared I'm going to lose everything! . I wouldn't think that a photocopier would demagnetized the card...it's not like an x-ray, but that being said, I don't know if I'd do it, just to be on the safe side....
