Ok I have two questions for you:

1. Has anyone ever gotten an upgrade before the final payment date?

2. When we get to the port and I go to check in does everyone in the party need to be there to check I.D.'s or can they go get in the boarding line while I check in?

From past experiences, I will get in line while DW checks us in and they will usually give her my KTTW card, however, if you have any problems, just get your card and get in line then have the others in your party go to the check in desk and they can get theirs .... Andy

I usually check all of us in while my DH returns the rental car. WHen he gets back to the terminal he just goes up to the counter and gets his KTTW card from the CM.

We have received an upgrade both before and after final payment. We've sailed on the Magic 10 times, been upgraded 3. We always sail off season. Every ADULT needs to show his/her ID. They will allow one adult from a family to do the check in, but the other adult needs to show the CM his/her ID to claim the KTTW card.

Since teens don't have to be present at check in, DD gets in line to board while I get in line to check in.
