2 Questions..... well maybe more

We already have a 2 bedroom at our home resort SS booked for Oct 8-13 and Oct 15 to 20 staying at POFQ on the weekend in between. We want to switch hopefully to WLV 2 bedroom for the 8-13. Will I be ok to make one call on March 13th for that or do I need to call day by day? Not sure how busy it is at WLV as this is our first DVC trip.

Is there a specific area at SS I should be requesting? I have my mil coming with us and the less walking for her the better. Same Q for WLV.

Is there or do you know if they are planning on coming out with a Junior price for the DDP? I have a 12yo that in Disney's eyes he is an adult but doesn't eat near adult portions.

Is there a specific company you use to get things like pop, water and snacks for the rooms? I noticed a list on the DVC member site but there isn't alot of variety and I have to be careful b/c my 6yo is allergic to nuts. I guess I'll have to look into the possibility of bringing some snacks with us from home for him too. How much laundry soap and what kind does Disney leave in the 2 bedrooms? Not that I WANT to do laundry but on the other hand I don't want to do 2 weeks worth when I get home either!

How does Magic express work for DVC? I'm thinking we will only be renting a car on the weekend in between so was looking at either ME or a town car type service. there will be 4 adults a 12yo and 6yo in our party.


Anything else I should know that I haven't asked?

Best thing to do is call MS as soon as your window opens and reserve the first night. Ask the CM how availability looks - He/She will tell you if they think you need to continue calling each day or if you can safely call just one more time to reserve the rest of your stay.

Doubt it. Nothing has been rumored to that effrect AFAIK, and many have expressed similar misgivings about thier pre-teens paying adult prices.

Given your DS's allergy, I'd think I'd bring any snacks from home. We generally stop at a grocery and have been able to find most of the same brands we have at home.

You get a one load box of TIDE. You'll need to buy/bring your own detergent and softening agent (if you use one). FWIW, laundry is really easy to do - we almost always come home with clean clothes. Pack less and plan to do laundry while you are there. It's so nice to travel light! I just throw a load in before we leave for the day and then dry it when we return for an afternoon break or in the evening. Don't seem to mind it at all and I HATE doing it at home. Go figure!

Lots of other posts on this - both on the DVC Planning Forum and over on the Transportation Board. I think you will like ME - can't beat the price,lOL!
