2 questions: park hours and character breakfasts

Hello!

For some reason I am having trouble finding information on the following topics:

1. What are historic park hours for DL? I am coming early Nov. 2008 and I am wondering what the park hours might look like. Is it typicallly 10 am opening for DL and DCA with DL closing @ 8 and DCA closing @ 6?

2. That is such a late opening! (I'm used to WDW hours). I know some days have EE (or MM, right?). How about character breakfasts? Can you make a ressie prior to park opening (like they do @ WDW)?

I believe it all depends on how busy they believe it will be. But 10 am is only during off peak times. 9 am and 8am seem to be the norms during busier times. We will be there the week of a holiday and openings are 9 am during the week and 8 am on weekends with closings at 10 and midnight and DCA closings are always a little earlier. I'm not exactly sure about reservations prior to park opening, I know ours last year were for 15 minutes after the park opened, but people had been in there for a while, so it is possible that they let people in earlier, but I'm not sure if you have to use your early entry to do it.

I'm sure there are others who can answer better.

Yes, you can make PS for Minnie and Friends (I assume that is the place you were talking about) 30 min prior to the park opening for the general public. This is on EE days, I'm not sure what the rules are for non EE days. Say the park opens for the general public at 10am, you can make your PS for 9:30. Someone from the restaurant will come out and find you (let a CM around the area know you are waiting and they will also keep an eye out for this person from Minnie and Friends). It's really cool because there should be no lines for food at this time, you will get plenty of time with the characters and you don't miss as much "park time".
