Coral Reef...definitely. It's very beautiful in there and we loved the food.

I wouldn't consider either to be a "foodie" destination.

Of the two, I'd choose Teppan Edo. Coral Reef is very loud.

I would like to know where to get that bar too!

I would go to Coral Reef because we have awesome Hibachi restaurants where I live and Japan in Epcot is just ok and they do not give you fried rice, appie shrimp, soup and salad included in the price.

My vote is for Coral Reef
I don't remember seeing any magic cookie bars (like a 7 layer bar? with the chocolate chips and coconut?) ...but, if you like brownies, the peanut butter brownie at Sunshine Seasons was yummy. It was very fudgey and it had like a butterfinger crumb on top

As for the restaurants, we love both. However, as another poster indicated, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any "foodies" on this board that are fans of either. We like them - we enjoy the food and atmosphere. Since Teppan Edo has been rehab'ed, I find it more spacious in terms of the actual room as well as table space in front of you to hold your plate. Coral Reef is a more unique environment - you could find a Hibachi-style place in most cities.

We make an effort to go to Teppan Edo every trip; we also try to Coral Reef at least every other trip.

If there is such a thing as a Magic Cookie Bar in WDW and it resembles those yummy 7 layer bars, I will need to know where I can buy a ton of them. Does anyone know? They are DELISH!!

We just ate at both restaurants in August.
We would choose Coral Reef again.

In fact, we've got an ADR there for Thanksgiving week.

DH gets his Magic Cookie(7Layer bar)at the POR food court. I just saw one in a dining review but have no idea where they got it.

I'd go to Teppan Edo.

I bought a magic cookie bar at POR about two weeks ago. Sadly, didn't get to taste it, as I gave it to my MIL. But boy, did it look delicious!
