I am researching ticket prices for my August trip and am really kicking myself for not buying them in the fall because the prices were certainly lower. Before i purchase, any reputable discounted ticket websites I should look into?
Second question - We are renting DVC points for a stay from 8/21 - 8/27, we booked this 11 months out before airline tickets prices were released. When the prices were released I realized that I could save about $300 for the family for flying out the day before (8/20) so I booked that. I am looking into booking a cheaper hotel for the first night (Maybe one of the All Stars) and then moving to beach club the next day. I was thinking we would just take a cab to the new resort, does that sound as easy as I planned it in my head to be?

Discount tickets:
Undercover Tourist
Parksavers
Maple Leaf Tickets
Orlando Ticket Center

Taking a cab or Uber to BC is fine. If you have park tickets for that day, though, Luggage Services/Bell Services will transfer your luggage at no charge (just leave it with them in AM when you check out; they'll move it in the afternoon) while you go have fun. Then just go from the park to BC when you're ready.

Wow...I didnt know the bell services would transfer the luggage for free. We will definitely do that because we do have plans to go to the park that day. Thank you!

You're welcome!

BTW if you subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter they contain a link to Undercover Tourist for a slightly increased discount on tickets. All Ears has a similar relationship with Maple Leaf. I've bought tickets via both without any problem. But I'd also check the others (and search the Budget board here for additional discounters) because you never know who'll be having a special offer!

Touring Plans does offer a ticket finder that searches all the above sites and lets you know who has the best deal for your particulars

Free but you would want to have some cash on hand to tip both those who pick up the bags and those who deliver (this is not like DME bag delivery, you will need to be in the room to get your bags)

I would definitely tip, can we bring our bags to the front desk when we check out of hotel #1 to go to the park and they can drop it off at the front desk of hotel #2 where we will check in later that day, does that sound ok?

Yes. You can call to have them come to the room to get bags or take them up yourself, whichever you want. Which we do depends on if we have time to wait or if we want to just get them dropped off and on our way for the day.

To add to the Ticket discounter list:
Boardwalk Ticketing ~ it's also listed on the Touring Plans site and offers competitive pricing.

If you are able to move your bags yourself, I'd definitely would: take bags to an Uber, to the 2nd resort; check in (anytime after 6am, but DVC room likely not ready until 4pm (3pm??)); leave bags with Bell Services (there's one at the main entrance at every resort); after you return from the day at a park go to Bell services to get your luggage (or go to the room and call from there - you have to be in the room to accept the luggage). Bell Services will even keep your cold frig items cold, and lock up valuables (we've left iPads etc. with them many times).

We once did the transfer from our room to next resort system, and it was not good. We moved from sister resorts (POFQ to POR), low crowd time of year, so you'd think fast and simple. In a nutshell they lost our luggage until late into the night. Its just not worth the phone calls, hassle, or possibility of problems to risk that again, even if it was a rare occurrence. Just so much easier to have control of your bags (i.e., once you drop them at Bell Services at 2nd hotel, they don't move again until you come get them or ask that they be brought to you). HTH!
