Hello,
My first post, and my first trip to Disneyland Paris - leaving on Monday morning!!!
Just wondering 2 things about the hotel Sequoia 1: are there kettles in the rooms? 2: the website mentions there is a babysitting service - has anyone used this, and if so, what does it entail - is it just a listening service?
Thanks so much for your advise. This board has been invaluable to me for planning our trip - so great to hear from people who have been already!

There are no kettles in the room but i'm sure you can hire them from the reception.

I don't know about the babysitting service, sorry.

The kettle is free but you have to ask the concerge for it. You have to pay for the tea/coffee however and it's a bit pricey from what I remember so I'd advise taking your own.

Concierge there will give you most things if you ask for it!
We bought a travel adapter (plug thing) on the way to Disney at New Year, and somehow lost it before we arrived, but the concierge desk lent us two for the duration of our stay :)

Hi mghnew2you, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

I don't recall anyone ever mentioning using the babysitting service, sorry.

Hi there, we visited Sequoia Lodge in March and found all the staff very helpful; just like the other dis board members, we found the kettles were available free at concierge. Seem to remember 6 or maybe 12 euros for a basket of tea/coffee packets. Hairdryers also available free. The Beaver Creek Restaurant is lovely and the kids enjoyed their food too (probably something to do with the dessert buffet!) It was our first time at Disney and just as an aside, my three year old will walk a lot but the hired push chair was a godsend when we finally hired one on day 3! Good luck and have a fab time!

Good luck and have a fab time!

I'll echo that, nou doubt you will have a great time! Of the 4 hotels i've stayed in (Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Sequoia and Newport Bay), the Sequoia has always been my favourite (maybe as it was the FIRST one i stayed in at DLRP too)

:cool1:

When I booked Sequoia Lodge in January there was no mention of a babysitting service anywhere, but I also noticed that it appeared recently on the list of facilities - maybe it's a new thing and that's why no one knows about it? Give them a call and ask - I'd be interested to hear what they say.

Friends of ours stayed at Sequoia Lodge about 18 months ago. They used the babysitting service. You have to pay extra but an experienced nanny comes to the room and will stay for as many hours as she's paid for! Our friends said they had a wonderful older lady who spoke excellent English and settled their daughter very quickly, in fact their daughter wanted to know when she was going to see this lady again!
