1. Is this currently available? 2. Besides the Maple popcorn cart in MK, is there any other flavors besides butter available through the refillable program? And if so do all parks have the non-butter option. I'm mainly on the hunt for caramel or kettle corn, besides the fantastic sounding maple. Thanks.

1. Yes
2. I'm not sure about all of the available flavors. The only other place that I've heard of with other flavors is the cart in EPCOT by Figment. They have sour cream & chive, buffalo & blue cheese, and cheddar cheese.

Now I am curious...is this a refillable all the time popcorn for an additional fee? What is the initial cost? Is it at all the parks? Thanks so much!

It's about $10 for the first bucket of popcorn and $1.50 for refills. My youngest could eat all day so this will be well utilized by us! The refill option is good across the parks for your length of stay.

Awesome - this is great news. My hubby loves popcorn so this will be perfect for when he starts to lose his patience. :)

Thanks Alex. If my math is correct the break even point for these would be 5 refills vs buying per bag. I don't think we will probably buy it unless I can find enough sweet flavored options. I would like to try the maple, maybe a couple of times if it's that good. But I don't see us using it 5 times with only butter popcorn. Plus we are bringing microwaveable kettle corn for our resorts. If anyone knows of caramel or other sweet kinds to refill with you can definitely change my mind. The challenge is on..........Happy Good Friday

Huh- never heard of this! Good for length of stay?? Are the locations of stands and flavors posted anyplace?

It's $4 for a regular popcorn, so with just 3 refills, you've saved money. Bucket $10 + $4.50 = $14.50 vs $16 for 4 regular popcorn.

I haven't seen a list. If you have your bucket and come across a popcorn cart with the refillable option listed on the menu, you'll be good to go.

Is there any science behind burning calories while thinking & planning out minuscule details. I have planned out what days my kids are wearing shoes vs sneakers based on outfits yes of course but also what parks we tend to get somewhat wet at and walk the most. If all this thought does indeed burn calories I'm selling our treadmill. Pass me a cronut.

Can't imagine wanting to carry around a bucket hoping to find a cart....

Sorry to hijack your thread but can you refill the buckets at any park or just the park where they were purchased?

Any park.

I'm of two minds about it because that means having to carry a bag that holds it. Then, it means a reasonable priced snack for my bottomless pit kids over the course of our vacation. <sigh> So, I'll carry a bag ;)

I had no idea you could get different flavors. Wonder if there is a list some where????

We will be a party of 4 adults and two kids. Over the course of 9 days, I can see about 15 refills. But I agree, if we didn't have a stroller, I doubt I'd want to carry it all day.

My Kid is recently joining the bottom less pit club. So where can I buy this and how big is the bag? (what if it rips?)

This is the info I have on the refillable popcorn buckets...
You buy a bucket at one of the popcorn carts at any park (popcorn included w/this initial purchase) for either $10 or $11, I've seen pictures of the prices posted on the carts with both prices so they either vary or one price point is outdated. Then for the length of your stay you can refill your bucket for $1.50 each refill at any popcorn cart at any park.
An early reply on this thread about the break even point says 3 refills, which may be accurate. I thought it would be 5 purchases, first bucket/popcorn & 4 refills. $11.77 bucket after tax, refills $1.50 (x4) is $6 = $17.77. Paying 5x without bucket at $4.25/ea = $21.25 vs 4x = $17. If I am incorrect about tax being charged or the bucket being $11.00 or anywhere else then this math should be forgotten.
Again based on pictures not first hand knowledge, there is a handle & lid included so if you could thread the handle through a bag or backpack strap or clip it onto a bag you could carry it that way.
If we get one on our trip in a couple of weeks I will confirm this info.

Is it really only for length of stay? Do the buckets change. I was hoping I could buy one next week on our short adults only trip, and also use it in August when we go back with the kids.

The finding a cart didn't seem to be a problem during the test last summer...but carrying the popcorn bucket around was kinda inconvenient.

While the buckets have straps, but with enough bumping the straps can pop off.

I'm going to bring a string backpack and fold it to fit in a pocket to skip bag check. Once inside, I'll put our pocket stuff in it including some zip locks to hold any leftover popcorn when getting another refill. I'm hoping that we won't have to go through bag check because we're holding an empty popcorn bucket!

The popcorn carts are in various places around the parks. You'll come across them throughout the day.
