Is there a minimum $ amount you have to order? And can you request store or generic brands? Have never used the service so any info is greatly appreciated. TIA

I will be placing an order with them for my upcoming trip in Feb-

I also picked quite a few store brand items...

Grocery delivery is FREE for orders over $200 and under $200 is a fee of only $12.00

The min order is $40 on food/drink items. And I read they want at least 72 hours or more in advance when you place your order.

You might also want to consider WeGoShop. They are a shopping service that will purchase what ever you list. They charge the store price (including sale prices!) plus their service fee.

I looked at a few common items from GG that we would purchase and some prices did seem high to me while others were OK.

1 banana 0.39
1 apple 1.19
3 lbs apples 4.49
1/2 gal milk 2.99
1lb butter 4.29
Doz. eggs 1.79
Pepperidge Farm 100% whole wheat bread 2.99
Pepperidge Farm bagels 3.79
18 oz Smucker's Raspberry Jam 2.69
16oz Smucker's peanut butter 3.29
18oz Cheerios 5.29
10oz Hillshire Farm thin sliced Honey Ham 4.39
6oz Stonyfield Yogurt 1.09
8oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese 2.19

Those seem rather high. Disney's order form shows an apple costing .99. Small item to compare, but it's the only one I remember.

I was just curious about WeGoShop's fees and looked them up. I figure we would purchase just over $100 in food. There would be a $10 difference in fees between the two companies, but it looks like we would have at least a $10 difference in the cost of food to make up the difference.

Shop and Delivery Rates:

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $17.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $22.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $32.00 shop & delivery fee
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of grocery total shop & delivery fee

*Please Note: The above rates and fees apply to local residents and vacationers staying inside of Disney World Resorts and are cash / check discount prices. Please add an additional 3% of grocery total for any other payment option. The shop & delivery fee is one fee, there is not a seperate shop fee and a seperate delivery fee.

I am curious why no one mentions using Disney' grocery. Most of they prices seem in line with my regular grocery with only a $5 fee. Am I missing something?

One main reason people do not use the Disney list is that all these things can be purchased at their store as you need them.

I hadn't looked at the Disney grocery list in a while so I was curious. It seems to have more listed then I remember and some items aren't too badly priced. However some are expensive (diet coke 6pk $6.85) and there are a many things they they don't have that are staple to us (Cheerios, yogurt). O I took my little example list from GG and put the Disney prices in red next to the GG price for comparison.

1 banana 0.39 0.99
1 apple 1.19 0.99
3 lbs apples 4.49 NA
1/2 gal milk 2.99 2.95
1lb butter 4.29 2.60
Doz. eggs 1.79 1.39
Pepperidge Farm 100% whole wheat bread 2.99 3.19 (Arnold)
Pepperidge Farm bagels 3.79 3.49 unknown brand
18 oz Smucker's Raspberry Jam 2.69 3.25 unknown size
16oz Smucker's peanut butter 3.29 NA - other PB available
18oz Cheerios 5.29 NA - closest kid friendly low sugar cereal SpecialK @4.00/7oz
10oz Hillshire Farm thin sliced Honey Ham 4.39 NA - other hame available
6oz Stonyfield Yogurt 1.09 NA- no yogurt????
8oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese 2.19 4.66 if same size

Where do you find prices for the Disney grocery list? We are new members and have a trip planned for June. Thanks

Thanks Lisa:thumbsup2 I had briefly run through for the breakfast items we were going to use and those weren't too bad. Your right on the other items, they are high. The last time we went to BCV we didn't order groceries ahead and ended up just purchasing things at the resort. I am trying to be better prepared this time.:yay:

I haven't used any grocery service yet, but if I was going to I would probably us WeGoShop. They don't have the coolest web site but I have only heard good things about the owner and I like their fee structure better. I would rather pay a upfront delivery fee with no mark-up on the groceries then have an unknown markup on the groceries with free delivery. I would bet the non-markup structure would be cheaper in the end.

we just used Garden Grocer for our Christmas trip and we were very impressed with them! The prices were not that much more than we've paid at Publix or Albertsons and the service was above and beyond what we expected. I confess, I was all set for this scenario to implode, as we had heard some negative things about GG. So you can imagine my relief when we landed in Orlando to find two voice mails...one stating they were about to deliver our order and two to tell us they had left our order with Bell Services and wished us a good trip. Every item we ordered was there with no substitutions. We will certainly use them again.

Last year we rented a car and shopped on our own. No go this year, it takes too much time out of my vacation (my husbands loves supermarkets, :confused3 that said, he is also the cook :woohoo: )

So we are looking to use a shopping service this year. I can't imagine anyone messing up the water, cereal, snacks side of shopping but what about fruits and vegetables. We eat alot of fruit (bananas, strawberries, apples, melon) and vegetables (baby carrots and celery are musts in our house). So has anyone ordered these items and if so, how did you find your purchase?

We've ordered fruits and veggies through GG and were very happy with their service.

I'm sold!! My biggest reason for not wanting to use one of the non-Disney services is that I didn't want to waste vacation time sitting in the room waiting for the delivery. I didn't know they would deliver to Bell Services. That's fantastic! How did you handle the payment? Did you mail them a check in advance or give them a credit card?
