2 Questions about Disney Dream Reward Dollars

I do not yet have the Disney Visa, and was wondering: Question 1: Do the Disney Dream Reward Dollars work like real dollars? Question 2: Can the DDRD be used toward Disney resort stays? Thank you to anyone who can help!

The DDRD work more like Disney Dollars than they do $USD. They are accepted at most Disney locations. You cannot use them anyplace other than WDW, DL, DCL or Disney Stores. You can use them to pay for your room or settle up on your room charges. You can make payments on your vacation package with them, use them to purchase tickets (thru Disney) or pay for a meal at a WDW restaurant.
