Had breakfast at 7.45 again and actually managed to make it into the park for some EMH.
It was chucking it down with rain this morning!
GD had fallen asleep again by the time we entered the park so me and OH loitered with her while the others went on Buzz.
We then walked into FantasyLand and OH looked after GD while I went with the others on Peter Pan and Pinnochio, we decided not to take GD on these later as they are both quite dark.
DIL had to go back to the hotel with T2 as he had managed to get quite wet and was feeling the cold.
The rest of us headed off to Skull Rock and explored the caves and pirates boat. DS and T1 went on Indiana Jones, which they both enjoyed but said they didn't want to go back on lol.
As they came off IJ we noticed Safari Mickey was doing a meet and greet so we joined the queue, GD loved him. She keeps leaning into them for a 'love'!
As we walked away from Mickey we found Timone, Pluto, Goofy and Daisy Duck so we had to stop for more pics!
Kissing Plutos' nose!
We met back up with DIL and T2, paid a visit to baby changing and ended up in Liberty Arcade and ate from Caseys again.
We headed off to FrontierLand and while the others went on PM me and OH wandered round the cemetry bit with GD. Never actually went round this bit last time, so wanted to look for the tomb that 'knocks'!!
Headed over to TM and again me and OH were in charge of GD while the others went on. I'm not a fan of rollercoasters and I have the perfect excuse not to ride with my bad back!! Again they enjoyed this, think they would have gone back on later in the week except it seemed to be having tech difficulties later in the week and was shut a couple of times we went past.
Wandered down to Woody's roundup and did a few photo stops, didn't wait for Woody tho' as the queue was quite long.
We were all really feeling the cold by now, altho' it had stopped raining by midday we were all still damp. Decided to do the round trip on the railroad. It was nice to have a sit down but we all got colder!
Got back of in Frontierland and then made our way back to the park entrance, via Aladdin!
DIL and DS headed back to the hotel with the kids while me and OH wandered thro' the shops.
Now this is were I had a bit of a moment and decided that the Paramaique balloon was working and I was going on it!! Bear in mind that I have an acute fear of heights
We went and asked when it was next going up and they guy said 2 mins, so I paid and we went to join the other 3 people waiting. Handed over my shareholders card here and got 10% off - I think - the whole experience is a bit of a blur, lol. Anyway we boarded the balloon, you are in a 2-3 ft wide gangway, it wasn't until we lifted off that I realised the whole of the center is open, I thought it was covered. So we are about 30ft off the floor and I'm on my knees
gripping the barriers on each side, OH is happily snapping away with the camera, and giving me helpful comments like, 'maybe we should have asked how long it stays up then?' I just kept asking have we stopped going up yet
We finally started to come back down and I managed a peek over the side - I was ok as long as I looked out and across instead of down. I think if I hadn't dropped to my knees below the edge of the barrier I would have thrown up mid air
We landed and I staggered off much to the amusement of the guys operating the thing! We watched it go up again afterwards and I was 'oh my god look how high it is!' I've always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, so I'm glad I only paid 22euros for this and established that there is no way I could do a normal balloon ride!!
Me and the balloon afterwards!
We had dinner booked for half 6 at Hunters Grill, so with me still shaking we headed off for dinner. We were seated straight away and the resturant was still quiet. Again using the HB+ vouchers we all got a free soft drink with our meals. I've done a reveiw on the resturant thread for this. The food all looked very nice but considering they only opened at 6 non of the hot food seemed hot! I had lasagne which was nice, plus some bits of salad, nachos, chips (cold) and desserts which were all ok. We didn't particularly enjoy our meal/time in here partly as GD had a screaming fit about 5mins after we sat down, she was inconsolable. OH finished first so took her out for a wander, I went out to them once I had finished and she was sobbing her heart out. They had a rough night with her, turns out she cut another back tooth!
Me and OH headed to the bar as I wanted to relax by the fire! Only problem was they had a large group of business people in, the Beavers Creek was closed due to this, and part of the bar was roped off. We ordered a coke and a pint of Guiness, just under 11 Euros, - OH nearly fell of his stool when he realised the Guiness was 6.90 Euros, lets just say we only had the one and then headed back to the room for an early night
