When we checked in we only had the choice of 7.45 or 9.45 so decided today would be a late breakfast and the rest of the week opted for 7.45.
Had a very welcome lie and ambled down to breakfast. No queue and were seated straight away. Good choice of stuff, toaster takes ages tho'.
GD enjoyed breakfast!
Back to the room to get layered up and set off for the park. We had an exit door very close to our rooms, the path took us past the resturants. We eventually made it into the main park at 11.00. GD was fast asleep in her pushchair by the time we arrived.
We saw Mary Poppins as we arrived. Headed over to DiscoveryLand. DS, DIL, T1 and T2 went on Spacemountain, couldn't see the queue and they didn't take long. Boys loved it, their first roller coaster! They wanted to go on Autopia until they realised it just went round on tracks, plus the queue was horrendus.
Me and OH grabbed a coffee and loitered outside HISTA while the others went in. They all enjoyed this. They then went on Star Tours but said it wasn't as good as they thought it would be.
We then wandered back up to Nautilus, it was closed until 13.30, I went in with the others while OH did a bit of baby minding. I tried to convice T1 that it was a real octopuss at the window but he was having none of it, this room freaked me out last time I went in, I was busy looking at the window, turned round and everyone else had gone and I couldn't see the exit - admit I started to panic a bit
We ended up in Liberty Arcade again and got a couple of tables, ate from Caseys again.
GD was awake again so we headed back to IASW and OH waited with the buggy while we all went on.
Headed back to the hotel for an hour to thaw out and relax before heading out to BBWWS.
Had brilliant night. Mine and OH's 2nd visit, just as good as the first time. Seem to have changed the system slightly, this time we were given a ticket with a table number on, last time it was just 'green section and sit where directed', this time we were red and sat just above the exit. Food was ok, we knew what we were getting anyway. Kids loved it and both the boys bought bandanas in the shop as we were going in, GD thought it was great she could bang the cutlery and dish on the table
OH, T1, DIL, GD, DS and T2
Me and OH went for a wander round village shops while the others headed back to get the kids settled. We weren't long as the shops were very busy.
Had a few problems with GD in an evening, mainly as she was out of her normal routine, usually bathed and in bed by 7. She just wouldn't settle because they were all in the same room.
We got back just before 9. At 9 some really loud music started. Decided it couldn't be Hurricanes or a concert at Billy Bob's, it sounded as if it was an outdoor concert, could also hear the interaction with the audience. It finally stopped at half 10, only to start again about 20 mins later and continue until 12.30. For an idea of how loud this was - I put my hand on the window glass and it was vibrating
. It wasn't just the usual 'thumping bass' noise we could actually hear words and music as if we had a stereo on in the room, couldn't hear the telly, and obviously the kids wouldn't settle!
I did query this at concergie the next day but they didn't know of anything going on and suggested that maybe it was a Billy Bob's concert! We can't have been the only ones to hear it tho'. I will be emailing Disney to ask about this as if that is the noise level and times (ie until 12.30) that Billy Bobs has it's not very good at a family orientated resort with loads of tired kids
So apart from the end of the night we had another very good day.
