If 2 people in the family need/are approved for DAS, can they each select an attraction and riding partners? Say the 5 yr old wants to ride dumbo and the 13 yr old wants to ride Space Mt, can they each select a return time with different members of the traveling party? Or would this not work if both managed in the moms MDE and/or if times overlap? Any advice on this situation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Yes, they can each select a different attraction and different party members for a DAS Return Time in the park. No individual (including the others in your party) may have more than 1 DAS Return Time. So Dad can ride Space with the 13 yr old while Mom rides Dumbo with the 5 yr old.

Perfect! Thank you!

Really? I didn't think you could like a ticket to more than one DAS holder at the same time. That's why we only have DAS for our son even though my husband qualifies for it too. It makes it hard when he and I go to the parks solo. We don't ride anything anymore, just eat and walk around, because I can't be attached to 2 different DAS accounts. We have been told this numerous times.

The thing is that your husband can have his own DAS.

But he will not be allowed to link your son to it because the son has his own DAS. And your husband would not be able to be linked to the son's DAS if he has his own DAS.

You and others in your party would be able to be linked to both DAS passes but could only be selected for a DAS time on one pass at a time. So if all of you want to do the same ride both your husband and son would have to get a return time for that ride on their DAS pass then spilt the remainder of the party between the two passes.

So does this mean if we all wanted to ride the same attraction my youngest sons DAS can’t select my older son? So I’d have to go back in and do a second return time for my oldest for an overlapping time?

We only have DAS registered guest. If we had 2, the second would be listed at the top under ‘Registered Guest’. All the other members of our group would be listed under ‘Guests Joining’.

Because we have only one DAS user, her name is pre-checked when making a DAS Return Time. With 2 users, each is independent and neither would be automatically checked.
If both DAS users want to go on the same attraction, you would check both and then choose the ’Group Joining’ (or choose ‘Select All’).
If DAS user #1 wants to go on Small World, you would check DAS #1 and then check the Guests Joining. For example, son and mom.
DAS user #2 could make a DAS Return Time for Space Mountain and add any of the guests who were not already include in the Small World DAS Return Time. No one can have more than one active DAS Return Time.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the DAS Return Times are based on the current wait in the Standby Line. Right now the current wait on Small World is 50 minutes and is 75 minutes on Space Mountain (12:51 Florida time on 2/21/23). So, sometimes the different DAS groups will end up waiting for each other to finish theirindivi DAS Return Time before they can make another together

Thank you so much for this explanation and photo to help! I really appreciate it! This is all a little confusing for me

We have explained our situation to Disneyland CM's MULTIPLE times, hoping for a different answer. What we would like to be able to do is this:

Son #1 DAS USER:
Me (Guest)
Son #2 (Guest)

DH DAS USER:
ME (guest)

They will NOT link me to both my son and Husband's DAS simultaneously. This means on days DH and I are at the parks without the kids, I would not be able to join my husband as a DAS guest. They explained that I'd have to be REMOVED from Son #1's DAS and linked to Husband's DAS. The same guest cannot be linked to more than one DAS user.

Since I go to the parks alone with my sons often, and my husband doesn't join us, and since my husband cannot physically ride all the rides our son who uses DAS likes to ride, he just makes do as a guest on Son #1's DAS and when he and I go alone, we don't do rides.

We are passholders who hold the DAS for 60 days and renew. We have been doing this for years. DH has such bad PTSD that he barely even goes to the parks with us anymore, and we have basically stopped going solo because he cannot have his own DAS with me as a guest as well.

So, why not get removed from the son's, get put on the DH's, then reverse when you go with the son?

I’m pretty sure DLgal’s interpretation is correct. Otherwise, it would get complicated if you could select companions on the fly, especially given overlapping wait times.

It would be unequal to allow a companion to be on two waits for DAS simultaneously. That would facilitate jumping the line. If the companion could be on only one wait at a time, what would happen if they wanted to drop the wait with DAS user 1 and join the wait with DAS user2? the system would then need to support the dropping of partial parties.

Reassigning you to different DAS accounts would literally take 5 minutes in the park with a CM... just saying. Inconvenient, sure... but not hard.

It must be differences in how the Disney app works at WDW opposed to DL. It may have to do with how Fastpass Plus worked on the WDW app - guests could do Fastpasses on the WDW app and didn‘t need to do it at kiosks.
Once DAS went digital at WDW, guests were able to be listed as guests under more than one DAS registered person. When making a DAS Return Time in a park, the CM could see everything and make choices. ONLY those not already attached to a DAS Return Time are available to be added to a new DAS Return Time.
The change that allowed guests to make their own DAS Return Time on the app, just made it available to guests.

No. The companion can’t be on two waits simultaneously.
When someone is selected for a DAS Return Time at WDW, they are locked out of being selected for another DAS Return Time until the first one they were included in has been used or cancelled.

There is no reason for Disney to support dropping partial parties.

It’s done at WDW all the time and it isn’t complicated at all. And no companions can be on two return times at the same time.

There is nothing unequal or unfair about doing this at all - it simply allow flexibility for parties with more than one DAS holder.

Because it's a pain and it "resets" the DAS each time. We go frequently enough that it would just be a hassle. We stood in a line at a kiosk for 20 minutes on Sunday for a simple issue. I don't want to have to do that every visit.

Next time we renew the DAS, I will go to City Hall and ask again if this is possible. We have had no luck so far. I also listened to a CM, on Sunday, discourage having multiple DAS users in a woman's party, explaining that they would have issues if they linked the others to one DAS user and that user didn't want to ride and others did. She instead gave one person the DAS. I listened to it for over 15 minutes.
