2 Nt Vacation from the Vacation--Any Suggestions??

Hi, we are staying on-site while my daughter is with her dance team (they are marching on Main Street ). We have just recently decided to extend our stay so we can have some time as the "whole family", but can't afford to use DVC points for the weekend. We are toying with the idea of taking off for somewhere else for a couple of nights before we go back & hit Disney for a few more days. Any neat suggestions out there? Keep in mind that we will either need 2 rooms or a 2 BR unit b/c of the size of our family. I looked into the new Ron Jon resort at Cocoa Beach, but they only have availability for one of my 2 nights .

I would love to hear any suggestions anyone may have! TIA

only problem if they are timeshare you get them for a week not the 2 days.

have you considered during a sales presentation so you can get a cheaper room.

there are some in Tampa (I don't like the east cost - as much as the west coast).

How much farer do you want to drive?

Also there is a bunch of stuff in Orlando besides WDW - have you given Seaworld (there is a Hilton Grand Vacation Club - next door) or Us/IOA - I think the closest to here are still closer to HGVC - or even th houses......there are several excellent Marriott's in the area, too.

We're going to stay at the Resort on Cocoa Beach http://www.vrivacations.com/resorts/rcb/ for a couple of nights. We tried Ron Jon, but they were booked. They have 2 BR units which will fit my family of 6, with a kitchen, 2bathrooms and a washer/dryer.

Oops, I see that there is a limit of 6 per condo at the Resort on Cocoa Beach. It says it's strictly enforced--I don't know if that applies to babies, if one of yours is young.
