We are going on first cruise in July and we have 2 nights at Poly (our fave) but NO tickets for the parks. Our AP's expired and we don't plan on going back to the parks for a couple years. Where would you stay for entertainment purposes?

Keep Poly and just enjoy the atmosphere there? It's our favorite resort but afraid we will be too tempting to buy park tickets LOL. Switch to SSR to enjoy Disney Springs? or BW to enjoy entertainment there?

Try AKL, with the animals right outside your balcony have a different experience.
Try VB, get into beach mode early.
You can not do wrong with any options.

We're doing a pre-cruise, no park weekend next year. Right now we're booked at SSR. I'm going to try for BCV or BWV at 7 months. If they're not available I'll keep SSR.

We did this our last trip.. we spayed 2 nights at Beach Club pre cruise in a studio. You have the boardwalk right there plus the awesome pool area.

I would try for Vero Beach or SSR if I was not intending to go to a park.

In January we're staying at VB before a cruise.

Beach club wasn't available this close but today it was :). I snagged it. I love Poly but switching saved 19 points.

We have an Oct cruise and will be staying at VGF with some family visiting for the weekend. We love VGF, and stay there as our first choice. We will spend one night at the end of the cruise at SSR. They have a very nice changing area to use after check out and spending the day at the pool.

2 years ago we did just a 3 night cruise so we stayed at OKW 2 nights then 4 nights at VB before our cruise. We had added one night back at OKW with after our cruise. Spent a lot of time at DTD/DS.

it was our first time at the 2 resorts and we did Concierge for the first time on the cruise. Great Vacation.

Good for you! I could definitely stay at BCV and forget about parks!

For us it'd depend somewhat on what we were doing instead and where we were eating. For most trips our first choice would be AKV savannah view, second BWV standard, third SSR though the makeup of the group and time of year might make some difference for other times.

I would stay at the Poly. You can ride the monorail for something to do. See fireworks from the beach. Take a boat to one of the other resorts. Go over to the GF and listen to the music do a hand scrub at the Basin. Do Spirit of Aloha for dinner one night and enjoy the show

Agree with SSR - Disney Springs is going go to be awesome. Already has lots of great changes. We loved our two nights pre-cruise at VB too.
