Dexter referred to our resorts as Hotel #1... Hotel #2 etc.

Hotel #1 All Star Sports:

This was a great value resort WAY above our expectations! If we ever have to stay at a value resort this will be on the top of my list before POP. The POP is great - but All Star Sports was better.
I never thought I would recommend the Sports over the POP.

Hotel #2 Wilderness Lodge Villas:

OMG! I have stayed in Disney World over 30 times and I felt like this was our first trip! Who knew Disney could be like this? I grew up in Fort Wilderness so this had the feeling of Fort Wilderness but the luxury of an amazing resort. I'm in love with the Wilderness Lodge and would never have been able to stay there if it wasn't for the DVC.
When we first took the tour (with our AMAZING guide!! If anyone wants his name and # just let me know... this guy is GREAT!) He told us that we would have wondered why we didn't do it sooner. And that is so true! It is so much more affordable then you would think.
We'll be back at the Wilderness Lodge in January 2010! We're actually afraid to try any other resorts because we love this one so much!

Hotel #3 Disney Cruise Line:

I love Disney Cruise Line and we did have allot of fun. But I'm looking forward to our next cruise when I can have a little more of a relaxing time. And maybe we'll make it to Castaway Cay.

Hotel #4 Boardwalk Villas:

Wasn't impressed. The location to Epcot and MGM was great... and the pool looked cool. BUT I don't think we'll be back to this resort for a long time. There are allot of other resorts that I would like to try first.

Overall this vacation was amazing.
It was a very stressful time in our lives:
-serous health issues
-moved out of our rental due to mold
-moved into my parents house
-house hunting
-new baby
-house closing when we returned from Disney
and much more...

(I know that other families are going through allot more stress and I'm not saying that ours is worse then anyone else's... I know that overall we have it very good. I mean come on - we just spent 13 days in Disney World!)

The only reason I brought up the stress was I think that I could have had more fun if all of these things weren't over my head. Plus I think I kinda set myself up because until the end I had set this all up myself and tried to surprise everyone. That was a big stress on it's own.

I think I will definitely try to surprise my family again some day - but maybe when less is going on.

We currently have have plans to go back to Disney World in January of 2010. We'll be spending five nights at the Wilderness Lodge Villas and six nights at Bay Lake Towers. Staying at the Contemporary has ALWAYS been a dream of mine but I knew I could never afford $300+ a night for a room. Hooray DVC!!!! I get goose bumps every time I think that we'll be staying there!

We also have plans to do a seven night cruise in 2011. I can't wait until the release the dates!

It's beautiful and amazing and perfect and awesome!!!! You'll love it!
You don't even feel like your at Disney World when you go out onto your balcony.

I totally agree with you about DVC - we are able to stay in hotels we could never otherwise afford, with a kitchen, washer/dryer, and separate bedroom to boot!
Hope things are better - we have a new baby, so I know that alone brings on a lot of stress, without all the other stuff you have going on!

Our 'new baby' isn't so new anymore. She is almost 18months old. So she is allot easier then she was even 6 months ago. (maybe I should go find her)
I priced out our stay just for our room next January and it was several thousand dollars like $4,000-$5,000 just for the room. Points are a much better value! DVC ROCKS!

Boardwalk is my one of my best friend's favorite resorts. Of course she stayed in the Grand Villa Boardwalk view. So who wouldn't love that room??

Stress on vacation stinks! You just have to try and put it in a box and leave it at home.
