I just might have to add Whispering Canyon Cafe to our ADR list for August. We've done it before and thought it was a hoot! I think we had something like 32 bottles of ketchup on our table! That chicken and pork looked GOOD!

Thanks! Who knows about the cruise. I mean we have my parents 100% agreement with watching the kids while we are gone but I feel a bit weird leaving them. Plus do we REALLY need to spend the money?? This economy has me a bit freaked out. We have until June 27th to decide for sure.

Dexter was being bad so I sent him to his room. When he got to his room he slammed his door. Well this made me really mad. I went into his room and said "DEXTER! Did you slam your door because you were mad!!???!!" He looked at me and very sweetly said, "No mommy, when I did it my face was like this not this ." I told him to get in bed. I had to leave the room because I was cracking up!!!

After a good night sleep the phone rang. I must have waited too long because by the time I answered Mickey was already gone. (or maybe this phone was broken too) I showered and got ready first and then slowly woke up Shawn, then Dexter, and finally Skylar.

In true vacation style we ate our deserts from the night before for breakfast. Yumm! Then we headed over to the bus to go to Epcot. Have I mentioned how much Skylar hated Disney transportation!?! Ugg! We arrived to the park just a few moments after my brother (Michael), my sister-in-law (Stephanie) and Emmie.

First things first! We walked over to get fast passes for Test Track! Dexter is now tall enough to ride!

Then we went over to find Nemo.

Skylar needed some 'freshening up' so skylar and me went off to the washroom while everyone else checked out the fish. Or so I thought! When we got out of the potty we looked everywhere for them. So finally I texted Shawn... that's when I found out they all ditched me and went to see Crush! So me and Skylar ditched them and went to The Land to grab a snack. They caught up with us shortly after that and we went on the Land Boat Ride together.

Skylar is on my brothers lap. For some reason she only wanted to be with him on this ride.

Our fast pass time was quickly approaching. So Shawn, Dexter and Me went on Dexter's first Big Boy ride while Micheal, Steph and Emmie watched Skylar. He really liked it - BUT - for some reason didn't want to go on it again with Micheal and Steph.

Then we switched and we took the kids - while they were on the ride Shawn & the kids dropped me and a very crabby Skylar off a the mothers room. I was able to put her to sleep and met back up with everyone at Test Track.

That's when I got a phone call from one of my best friends, Alicia, she lives about 3hrs from Disney. She said that they would be in the area around 3pm. We had dinning plans at 3!! eekkk!! So I rushed over to guest services and changed our Tepen Edo reservations to 2pm. We now had about 45 minutes to walk to Japan.

Even when your in a rush - there is always time for this.

We made it with just a few moments to spare.

I'm not sure why but they put us at a table with a mother and daughter who didn't seem like they like children very much. I felt very bad for them - the kids weren't being bad - they were just being kids.

I was feeding Skylar some of my cake. Well I guess I wasn't fast enough because she reached over and grabbed the whole thing off my plate and stuffed it in her face.

Lunch was great (for us) our total would have been $106, but we used the dinning plan.

We then rushed downtown Disney to meet up with Alicia and her husband Jr. it was great catching up with them!!
We ate dinner at a fish & chips place. The food was amazing!! Shawn got a deep fried snickers bar for desert. He really liked it. When we were finished walking around we headed back to our resort to watch the fireworks. You can see most of the show from the beach but you do miss bits and pieces because of the trees. We headed back to the room and hung out some more until Alicia found out she started work at 7am. At that point they said goodbye.

I gave the kids a bath and it was time for us to call it a night.

Dexter loved the ride and keeps on talking about it! He says it's his favorite ride at Disney World. And he even knows it's in EPCOT! He's a good boy!

The plan was to wake up bright and early... I got the wake up call at 6am but fell back asleep until almost 7. Once I finally did get out of bed I showered and then helped everyone else get ready. There was already a long line formed for the animal kingdom. It was no surprise since it was extra magical hours. The first bus arrived and they filled it to the top! There was no way you could fit one more person in that bus!!! We waited about ten more minutes for the next bus to arrive. It didn't fill all the way so we went to fort wilderness to pick up a few more people.

After a LONG trip to the AK we finally arrived.

They may call it Not-A-Zoo but it sure did smell like one today!!

As soon as we got there we went to the safari. My brother and his family met us there.

It was a very short wait.

The best part was the rhinos! There must have been 8-9 of them eating hay very close to the road.

Skylar (and Shawn) started getting VERY crabby. ***if you read my last trip report you will notice that this is not unusual... I think Shawn has something against the AK... he gets crabby every time we go!***

I took Skylar over to the mothers room to put her to sleep since at this point she was getting to cry. She fell asleep quickly (I LOVE THAT MOTHERS ROOM)

Shawn and Dexter met back up with me and and a sleeping Skylar. We were all very hungry so we went to the counter service at YAk & Yeti. The food was good. I would go there again. Then we walked a few steps over to Expedition Everest. My Brother and his family found us - Me and Steph road first & we got a baby ride pass. The wait was only 30 minutes. When we were done Steph went to help Shawn with the kids. They walked ahead to the bone yard. I got to ride EE for a second time with my brother. The second time around I got a bit sick. I think it was because I kept on looking behind us. oops!

We then met up with everyone at the bone yard. The kids were having a blast!

After that we decided to call it quits. I think I'll have to do the Animal Kingdom by myself one day so that I can enjoy it. I still have never been to the Nemo Musical!!

After the Animal Kingdom we took another very loud bus ride back to our resort. After a much needed nap Shawn took Dexter swimming. I stayed in the room since Skylar was still sleeping.

It was our night to watch Emmie so that my brother and sister-in-law could have a date night. So I got on the phone and made dinning reservations at the Trails End Buffet. It was a good choice for us. It was really close to our resort and that way we could take the kids to the camp fire and movie afterwards. PLUS at the time Emmie was a few weeks away from her third birthday - so - that meant she was FREE!!!

I went down to the lobby and picked Emmie up at 5pm. Then Emmie, Skylar and me went searching for the boys. They were back at the room already. Once we were all together we took the boat to Fort Wilderness.

I think Skylar ate more then the two of them combined!

It was a very good dinner. After we were all done we hopped on another bus and went over to the campfire. You could easily walk there but it was too far for Dexter's and Emmie's little legs.
We all sang and roasted Marshmallows. The kids were getting along and behaving so I would say the Campfire was a huge success!!

Every thing was perfect until Dexter fell off his chair. The tears didn't last very long and it was time to head back anyways. Emmie's parents picked her up and it was time for bed.

Natale: I'm sorry I've been missing in action for a few days. I am finally caught up again. I do have an excuse though. I started a trip report about the time we surprised our son with a WDW vacation.

Your extended family is super cute too. It's great to have kids so close in age to grow up with. My kids are lucky that way too.

Great update!! I've never been to the bonfire.. it looks fun.

It is fun! They show a movie after the campfire sing-a-long but the kids never want to stay that long.

Shawn woke up very early (and all by himself too). It was time for his train tour!! He had been looking forward to this for months!! Shawn is crazy about trains (I don't get it) he will actually go slower when we are driving if he suspects a train will reach the intersection so that he can watch it. (I really don't get it!!!) Michael was going to meet him at our resort, eat breakfast and then take the boat to the Magic Kingdom.

See... I told you he woke up early!!

I guess the tour was great because Shawn couldn't stop talking about it. He wants to do it again next time we are in Disney. Here are some pictures from his tour.

I asked him just now to describe his experience so I could tell you guys and he said, "It was train-tastic!" If any one is interested in knowing more just tell me and I'm sure I can get more information out of him.

Me and the kids woke up several hours after Shawn did. I got them dressed and we headed over to meet up with Shawn. We found Emmie & Steph by the MK gate. It was already 10am and the boys were still not done with their tour! We took a few pictures on the way to Pooh's playground. (I have to find my photo-pass CD at my parents house) The kids saw the Winnie the Pooh ride and wanted to do that first. Skylar loved the ride and cried when I made her leave.
The kids played in the playground until Shawn and Michael met up with us.

It was now time for lunch so we ate at Cosmic Ray's. (Trisha's restaurant - who is a cast member) The food was OK but the service was GREAT.

I really wanted to go on my one of my favorite rides The People Mover (TTA) It turns out that it is one of Skylar's favorite rides to fall asleep on.

Me and sleeping Skylar took another trip around while everyone else went on Buzz Lightyear. I was able to keep Skylar asleep and meet up with them right as they were getting off their ride. Steph really wanted to go and see The Laugh Floor (so did I but Sky was still sleeping) so we split up again. Shawn watched Skylar and I finally got to do something alone with my 'Tiny Man' Dexter. We rode the Barnstormer.

I love doing things with Dexter alone. I feel like I really don't get to enjoy little things like that anymore. So it's even more special when we get those moments.

Shawn watched the Disney train while we were on the ride. After we were done riding we let Dexter play at the playground in Toontown.

Then we walked over to It's a Small World - Skylar woke up so we went on.

Someone in the row in front of us asked if we wanted a family picture.

I think she liked it!

It was nice to have a relaxing trip where it didn't matter what we rode and when we rode it. The only problem was that we felt like we did nothing.

Shawn had a taste for a Dole Whip Float - so we all enjoyed one. Shawn was carrying Skylar in the backpack and she looked like she wanted some of my float. Like a loving mother I gave her my straw and she sucked in a mouthful of Pineapple juice. She then spit it all over Shawn's neck

On the way out of the park we bought some Mickey Ears for Skylar.

Dexter wanted to try them on.

It was Shawn's and my turn for a date night so we headed back to the resort and packed the kid's bags.
