2 night vacation in or near California

Hi!

Both of our kids will be at summer camp this year at the same time

DH and I are thinking about taking a 2 night/3 day vacation somewhere. We figure we could fly to Las Vegas, but it will be end of July/beginning of August and it will be too hot.

We usually go to WDW or DCL and just looking for some R&R. Any suggestions of great places to go? We thought Las Vegas because it's only an hour or so away by flight. We don't want to be too far away from home

Why not come to the Central Coast? Pismo is nice that time of year. Foggy, cool mornings and warm afternoons. Santa Barbara is nice too. I leave right near Pismo but when I want to get away, I just drive 90 miles for a weekend in Santa Barbara. I agree, Vegas is way too hot in the summer!

What about the Del Coronado in San Diego? The JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix is a great place for some R&R.
