2-night (Post Cruise) Condo Stay - Ideas?

After reading through these many threads, I definitely think that we would enjoy the space of a condo, after being cramped in one inside cabin on DCL. However, all of the places that I look at do NOT seem to offer a condo stay for only two nights.

I thought about setting up a hotel for the two nights and then hoping that at the last minute I can find a condo. But I highly doubt that I will have the time at the last minute to really try to search for a condo, when I'll be more worried about getting things packed up for our cruise.

Has anyone had any luck finding short stays at condos near Disney? I'm looking for mid-March timeframe.

Thanks!

You could book a 2 or 3 bedroom villa at one of the timeshare resorts. A couple really beautiful ones that I can think of now are:

Marriott's Grande Vista, Cypress Harbour, Harbour Pointe Resorts..can book right on Marriott.com.

Hilton Grand Vacations Clubs...can book on Hilton.com
Wyndham's Bonnet Creek....wyndham.com
Sheraton's Vistana and Vistana Villages Resorts...starwood.com
Orange Lake Resort...holidayinn.com

Also...you can book these through Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc..

These should give you a good place to start and I'm sure you'll get other great suggestions from the people on here.

Have a wonderful trip!

Sometimes if owners have a couple of days available between stays, they may be willing to rent you 2 nights. I would go on VRBO and Homeaway and look for the community in which you are interested, and look at the availability calendars and see if you find someone who has your dates available with stays on both sides.

March is a busy month with spring breaks. You might also put a general inquiry into the windsor hills rent site, 2 miles from Disney. The website is www.windsorhillsrent.com and ask if anyone is willing to rent the 2 days. It is worth a try, as there may be some owners there that have gaps.

you can Disney Vacation Club here - just go to the rent/trade board.

that say - make sure you have a reservation before you give up any money.

We had the same issue. Our stay is from Feb 8 to 12, 4 nights only. Not quite long enough to make a condo cost-effective.

I am a bit too nervous to attend a timeshare property, having heard so many horror stories. With only 5 days, we don't have two or three hours to blow on a presentation.

On the upside, I am impressed with the deals and savings being offered by many of the suite hotels. Perhaps one of those would work for you?

There are lots of places to rent a condo for just a couple/few nights.
Some of the ones I book frequently for my clients are Cypress Pointe (phase 1 and 2), Tuscana, Lake Eve Resort, Oakwater, Caribe Cove, Vista Cay and Blue Heron.
If you are looking for Feb/March I would suggest booking soon though.

You don't need to be afraid of a timeshare tour if you are not booking a tour package. Just tell the front desk no if they ask if you're interested and take the phone off the hood in the condo.

We always stay in timeshares in Orlando and have never had to do a tour.

Most of the places you are all suggesting are approximately an hour away, correct? I own both at OLCC and DVC but really not thinking of using my t/s -DVC for my pre-cruise next year leaving from Port Canavral. I would much prefer to be closer to port. JMO.

The suggestions are what I was looking for, because we want to be near Disney post-cruise. I couldn't care less about being near the port.

We booked 2 nights at the seven dwarfs villas condos- went through the owners- just have to pay a cleaning fee. We had 2 nights after our villa rental with family before we come home and there is 7 of us and this works way better than 2 hotel rooms. http://www.rentorlandodisneycondo.com/5301.html

Thanks for this link! I am so happy to see a place that is willing to rent for less than 7 days. Not only would I like more space in a condo, than in a hotel room, but I would really like the washer/dryer, so we don't have to pack as much to take down there.
