With the wildfire of news confirming the intent to add to the DCL family of ships, what new feature should Disney include in the design of the new ships?

Some have mentioned larger capacity staterooms (6+). What about more teen/tween activity based areas (rock climbing, surfing, indoor sky-diving).

What attraction or feature will make these additions a must book ship?

Aren't these ships only 5000 tons larger? They definitely could use larger dining rooms. Tables within two feet of each other is a bit tight IMO. I too vote for larger pools.

My understanding is that larger pools present a problem for ship stability. I recall reading that large top-heavy water like that can cause problems for cruise ships, which is why they are kept smaller and more shallow.

I'd like magic band compatibility. I also wouldn't mind maybe two adult-sized compatible water slides/rides. Finally, I really have never liked the Enchanted Garden on the Fantasy. So better overall restaurant theming, with everything being as good as Animator's Palate, would be nice.

Bigger Pools :)

BINGO! :thumbsup2

That's the number one thing. Along with that, figuring out a way to make it "feel" (acknowledging that there's always going to be a lot of people up there) less crowded up on deck - a difficult task for sure - is imperative.

One thing I do really like about the design of RCCL ships that I think they could incorporate something similar is their Royal Promenade. They could put the shops, some bars, the Vanellope sweet shop or something similar, Shutters, etc. all in one area.

More/bigger pools- that was the area we found severely lacking on teh Fantasy- none of the 3 of us (DD11, DH and I) got into what we called "kid soup" ie all the kids bobbing in their life jackets staring at the TV screen- eww!

Bigger pools and a cheaper adults only restaurant (15$/pp). (Asian???) We can afford Palo and Remy and will continue to dine there but I feel like other cruiselines have more specialty restaurants and that they are more affordable.

I also hope that the magical porthole will be in the inside staterooms.

Remy sure. But Palo is right on par with what I am seeing for the same quality (taking NOT crepes and sandwiches) specialty dining on Celebrity.

Oh, and also, I'm all for Asian... As long as they have cooked non-swimming stuff there as well. Asian is so much more than nasty raw swimming things, contrary to what some people seem to think.

When the dining rooms were designed, it was with the understand that it would be more cruise-traditional SHARED TABLES and there was more than 2 feet of space between them. The more people have demanded they get their own table, the closer the tables have gotten to each other.
