Can my brother and I both buy a disney timeshare together?? So if one person dies the other remains the owner ??

thx...

Sure, but if he or you have financial problems or either of you marry and divorce, the points may become part of a settlement.

We were advised when we purchased a manufactured home in Florida to put the deed in the two names with the word "or" between them so that there will be no issues if one of us dies. The other automatically becomes the sole owner. Don't know if this works for Disney as well. As noted by PP you do need to consider others possibilities such as financial problems, marriage, divorce as well before you make this kind of purchase.

When Disney sends the paperwork they ask you to declare how the title will be held. You can have it Tenants in Common in which case if one of the tenants dies the share goes to the tenant's estate or you can have joint tenants which auomatically gives the share to the other tenant upon death. As with any legal document, you should discuss this with a lawyer.

We put two of or memberships in the names of or children so they don't have to pay a transfer fee to Disney.
