A friend is taking her family to WDW Dec. 11-19. It will be her, her husband, 4 yr old son and 1.5 year old daughter. Also her inlaws are going. They have tickets for the 12/17 MVMCP. She was wondering if they should try to get tickets for one of the nights earlier in the week for just her immediate family so she could make sure the children got to see/do everything there is to do. I know the 12/17 MVMCP is sold out so I thought crowds on that night might be a consideration in how much they could see. Your thoughts and suggestions?

BTW, they have AP's so I wouldn't think rides are an important consideration.

My sis and I are taking our DNeph (7) to 2 parties while we're there so that we will have plenty of time between the 2 nights to see all of the shows and really enjoy the atmosphere ! Since this is a very short WDW stay, it will also give us our only time in the MK, 2 evenings from 4 - midnight, which will do nicely!!
My only concern for your friend's family is the age of her children - how late will they be able to stay up and enjoy the evening? If she feels that the kids will hold up through some of the evening, I think a second party on a less busy weekday would be a wonderful idea - for me, my 'park time' with just my immediate family is always a bit less hectic than the times I'm with a group - both are great, but I really cherish the times I'm just with my kids, doing whatever works best for them ! :smooth:
