Considering bringing our stroller travel system for the infant. I think we will mostly baby wear but would like the stroller option too so we can leave baby with grandparents and go on some thrill rides. Are we allowed to bring the car seat part of the stroller that snaps into the stroller on the busses or boats. We aren't going to be trying to use the car seat, we would just be carrying it on empty. If not does anyone know of any portable stroller options for small infants that don't include the snap on car seat type set up.

With the car seat set up does it fold at all? The rule is that they must be folded. I have seen babies in those types of strollers but dont know if their family rode the bus or not.

You can but I wouldn't use it. It would get very hot for the baby and from when I had kids our doctors told us not to keep them in it for too long unless they were in the car.

That sounds incredibly hot and dangerous depending on when you are going. We went when our son was 3 months old and he did just fine in our City Mini GT. It fully reclines, so we were able to lay him in there. We mostly wore him but that stroller was just fine.

we were there in August with a large family group including a 4 month old. daughter found it too hot for her and baby to baby wear. we used an offsite stroller rental as Disney strollers would not work with the young infant. baby did great in the double beside her big sister. granted her seat was reclined but we were able to raise up some so she could watch what was going. we would not think twice to do it that way again even with a single if baby was only one needing stroller

When traveling with infants and toddlers I always bring our city mini stroller and a carrier for baby wearing during the cooler parts of the day and for lines. Depending on when you are traveling it gets too hot to baby wear all day. And carseats are also hot and not practical....not to mention another thing to carry Everytime you have to brake down the stroller. A stroller that reclines near flat is much better. Taking a baby is a breeze. My daughter had her 1st trip at 12 weeks and slept a ton of the time. She woke up ate and got a clean diaper and looked around a bit then back to sleep! Have a great trip! We just returned 3 days ago!

I also have a Citi Mini GT and this particular stroller is really great with very young kids. I felt safe using it from a very early age (6 weeks or so?) because of how flat it is. It is also SO EXTREMELY easy to collapse. It couldn't be easier, you literally pull a handle and can carry it by that exact handle. It's a one-motion step. If you don't have one, maybe you could rent one while you're there?

I agree that the infant seat in the stroller can easily be way too hot. Instead, I'd use a stroller without it. We had a stroller that could be fully reclined and would work for any age baby as a result. (it also had the snap in infant seat option but we didn't use that). As for baby wearing, we didn't find it too hot all day in May/June during a heat wave. It was hot, but baby stayed cool enough. I did use a thinner material sling though and that helped quite a bit. (That was with a 2 month baby so she really did stay in the sling all day. We did have a stroller in case we needed it for her but also because we had a 3 year old. When she was 8 month old that full recline came in handy since she would only sleep lying completely flat then. So, even if you don't end up using a full recline feature of a stroller now, it can come in handy at some point).
