Monday after school I picked up DD8 & 9.
DD9 was telling me how it was St. Joseph's day, and grammy had gone to connecticut to pick up "keilbasi". I said- KEILBASI? She said yeah you know grammy goes to CT to get them for holidays and stuff? I said goo WHAT are you talking about? She said- you know those pastry things that are stuffed with frosting? I said CANOLES????? yup...
Then later on that night DD8 and i went to the grocery store. She was discussing it being the 1st day of spring. Then- this is our dialogue
"mom you know that gopher"
"what gopher dan?"
"the one that decides when its spring"
"i dont know any gophers dani, what are you talking about?"
"you know that gopher if he see's his shadow or not, thats how you decide when spring is, well how do they know when they print the calendar that he's going to see his shadow or not, because it says "first day of Spring" on the calendar, and I had my calendar before gopher day"
After I stopped laughing I said-
"um dani, I think you mean GROUNDHOG"
"yeah, that thing"
lol i laughed at these 2 word mix ups for hours lol
