2 For The Price of 1: One Trip Done; One More to Plan!

Hi there! I lurked your trip report with just you and Lauren. It was amazing! She's soo pretty! I'm jealous! ::yes::
I can't wait to see the rest of your trip!
:woohoo:

More great updates!! I really think I need to go back and eat at Fulton's again on our next trip- it WAS soooooooooooooo good- plus, I've never had a pop rocks martini, and you KNOW it's on my short list! What was the Mai Tai like? Is there something special about it? But all of us meeting there for Bloodys would be the best.:)

Good idea, having a down day or two- our trip in Nov 09 will be our first trip since getting DVC (all of us) and I'm hoping my family will be willing to slow down the pace a little, being that they know we'll be coming back. But I'm the commando always leading the charge, so maybe I need to tell mySELF to slow down!!:rotfl:

Ellen

ps- I am half expecting every girl in the park to have a Tink in her hair the way you're talkin!:rotfl2: How do you think Glow tink goes with a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG pony tail?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ;)

I love that you refused to take a picture of Lauren's plain pasta. Hehehe.

Sounds like a great down day for you gals! :thumbsup2

Lauren is pathetic, isn't she. I totally cringed when she ordered that pasta!:rotfl:

What great memories this brings back!! I agree next time we meet at the bar.:thumbsup2 I so enjoyed the little time I got to spend with you and your precious girls Cam, you've got two to be proud of!

I am a very proud momma! And, as for that next DISmeet - just name the time and place, girlfriend!

I read Lauren your post and you just made her day!:flower3: Thank you - such a nice thing to say!

I think Glow Tink will look especially fabulous with a long ponytail! I'm just may have to get one myself!:thumbsup2

And, when are you going in Nov.09? Is it after Thanksgiving? I haven't looked at a calendar yet but I'm thinking I may be booking the first week after Thanksgiving. I NEED to see all Christmas decorations for this next trip!

Sorry- '09 is NJ week for us- Nov 1 to 8th. The last 2 nights I think we're going to stay at the Hard Rock. I know...I know... but I gave birth to thrill seeker junkies (except for the one who's into the tea cups) and they want those coasters! Looks like it will be a GSP meet again, unless this year you want to stop by my house as you fly by on the parkway from Bro to sis!

And get the pony!! Every girl wants a pony for Christmas!!:rotfl: It's the bestest present EVER!!:rotfl2:

Ok, does Lauren really have a problem or does she just like frozen drinks?:confused3 Your TR is great, thanks for sharing.:santa:

Hey everyone! I know I haven't posted over here in awhile because I've been busy getting my trip report done but I haven't forgotten about our second trip..........

Quick update - just talked to DVC member services.(I get so giddy when I talk to them!:goodvibes ) I booked our Magical Express; and also took our name off the waitlist for the BW for our first three nights. So, as it stands now, Lauren and I will be staying at SSR 2/15-2/2/18; then we'll move over to the BW for our last two nights. We figured we'd like to give SSR a try since we've never stayed there before.

I'd love to hear from any readers who have stayed at SSR: any advice? I know there are a couple of different buildings - should I request a specific one? Anything good at the CS here? How's the walk over to DTD? Any info would be appreciated!

I promise to post more details of this trip once the holidays are over. Afterall, it's now just about two months away before we leave to go to our favorite place again!:yay:

The Girls are too cute. I had a mei tai the last time we were at Disney so yummy a new fav. I may have to try that Pop Rocks Martini you're always raving about.

How did you and the girls weather the storm? We didn't get much just a ton of rain.

I'm here!!!! I know, I know, bad DISbud!

Your TR is great! I just put myself further behind at work because I just read all 10 pages - but you know you're worth it!!!!

Oh, I'm glad you're trying SSR! I think it's always good to try something new!! If you want to have the shortest walking distance to DTD, request Congress Park (with a DTD view!;) ), but if you want to be near the main bldg with the restaurants and shop, ask for the Springs. The Grandstand also looks nice, it has it's own pool bar. We stayed in CP. I was just thinking how nice it was there- it's so quiet. Very relaxing. Maybe you could do a spa thing with Lauren- and both restaurants are top notch. Counter service at AKV, BWV or BCV just doesn't compare to AP, it has really good looking stuff (salads, wraps, flatbreads), the food seems more contemporary- do you know what I mean? It's not "Oh, do i want pizza, chicken fingers or a burger?"

I get giddy when I talk to member services, too. I'm glad to hear that feeling doesn't wear off!:goodvibes

Hi Cammie and everyone else...just popping in quick. I never seem to stay on top of reading the TRs but I do pop in once in a while.

We have stayed at SSR twice. We love it! The 2x's we have stayed in the Grandstand section. It is a quick walk to the main bldg and the pool is very nice...Andrew actually prefers this pool to the main one (they have interactive water guns). And...like Ellen said, it does have a bar (it is not always open though). The Grandstand is also the first bus stop, which is nice because by the time they get around the resort loop, there is standing room only during busy times. We have eaten in both the Turf Club and Artist Palette and have liked them both.

Although, I do love SSR and that is out home resort, I truly love OKW the best! The grounds are so pretty and the rooms are HUGE. If you have not stayed there yet...try that some time too!

I wish everyone well and if I do not check back in soon, have a wonderful holiday!!! Love to all!

Another great installment :) What a nice relaxing day at the pool and DTD. I just found out that RCI vacation group members are going to be able to have privleges at DVC resorts (and vice versa) starting Jan 1st and my parents own in RCI...so my BF and I might be able to stay at BCV! We both looked at all the pictures and decided BCV is definitely the way to go. Your pictures are making me realllllyyyyy hope we can get it! :thumbsup2

The food at Fulton's looks amazing and I really love the cup that Lauren got her frozen lemonade drink in :goodvibes

Well, it's true. ;)
Oh, and I also have a question.
See, we're going in January '09, and I'm too much of a coward to have ridden Tower of Terror by now. It just looks real scary. :scared1:
Could you please tell me what age Lauren first rode ToT? :)

I don't think I'll be driving down to my brother's anytime soon - he's too far south and just doesn't have room for us. But I'd love to still visit when I'm at my sister's some time. You're not that far from her! And - you're worth the drive!;)

Double ::yes::

Thanks for reading; and honestly, I think she likes the cups that the frozen drinks come in the most! Once you have the cups, it's free refills; but she never goes back for seconds!

There is a chinese restaurant by us that makes THE best Mai Tais! We could never quite copy them at home though!

Are you going to try for BCV at Christmastime or sooner? I love the whole Epcot resort area. I hope you get it too!

Lauren first rode ToT in 2006 - she was 10. She skipped it last year and the only reason she went on this past trip was because her cousin begged her to. She swears it's the last time for her. And you'll NEVER see me on that ride either. Both of us do not like the sensation of coming up out of our seats; don't mind rollercoasters, but not ToT. Now, if they were to put in those over-the-shoulder safety bars, we'd might feel better about it!

Good luck to you if you decide to do it! When in Jan. are you going?

Hey guys! Thanks so much for your input!

First of all - Lauren: How are you feeling? You're getting close!:yay: I hope you take it easy this holiday season. Thanks for checking in and I wish all the best for you and your family! Keep us posted!

Ok - now some questions.........Lauren brings up a good point about the bus stops. I would love that DTD view but getting a seat on a bus is a priority too! I'm also hoping to have a pool day while we're there (will it be warm in Feb?) so maybe I should request Grandstand? Can you walk to DTD from there or is it too far? Decisions, decisions!:confused3

And, Lauren - we have stayed in Old Key West! It was our very first experience in a DVC! :cloud9: I do agree - it's beautiful and the rooms are HUGE! I just had a problem being so far away from everything. We had to take the bus everywhere!

Love the update!

1. Dinner looked yummy - nice you met TigerKat!

2. Those treats from Goofy's Candy Co. are awesome! I really will have to stop by there next time. I usually try not to - I'll be "wearing" it for awhile if I do. We do buy the caramel apples and share slices of them for dessert - pretzels can't be much worse, can they?

3. WOD - you know they do that on purpose - if you are lost, you'll spend more time looking around, and probably buy more things. It is frustrating when you know what you want and can't find it.

Looking forward to your next installment!

Oh, ok! Yea, I'm ok on some coasters, (ex. BTMRR) but some I'm just crying my eyes out in fright. I'm pretty lame. On our last trip, I walked through the line, and right next to the line, just to see the lobby and stuff, and then I took the elevator (not the ride!) back down.

We're going in the last week of January '09. But I can't really schedule meet-ups if that's what you wanted to know. I'd have to ask my parents. :thumbsup2

We own at SSR - have only stayed once, but we had Grandstand and loved it! There is a short walk across sections to the main buildings - maybe 3 min. Not far from there to the boat launch to DTD - or we walked and it took 15min total from our room.

We loved being first on the bus, and first off the bus! :thumbsup2 We loved being in the newest rooms, having a quiet pool with a great pool bar and filling station for those refillable mugs! There is a hot tub and those "squirt guns" too! Some of the rooms have great views without premium points, too!

Are you going to try for BCV at Christmastime or sooner? I love the whole Epcot resort area. I hope you get it too!

We're trying for BCV for our trip in April. Epcot is my favorite park and my BF, Chris, just likes the idea of being in walking distance of a park (he's never been to Epcot, poor boy.) If I con him into going again next Christmas idk where we'd stay yet. When thinking about the Christmas trip in the past I always was thinking value resorts since thats all we could really afford at this point but now that we might be able to stay in the DVC resorts it opens up so many more possibilities! :woohoo:

I laughed out loud at your "Mickey and Minnie in bed" comment! :rotfl:

I'm glad I'm not alone on the World of Disney store. I just lost it in there, it's so busy and it's a total maze. After 45 minutes of us being in there we found a whole room we hadn't even noticed. How is that even possible?!

I love your tips on meeting the Princesses as well. As of right now there is NO agenda of a Princess meal ever on a WDW trip for this gal, being that my DH would haaaate it and I'm guessing Henry won't be all too keen on it either! But, should I have a Princess someday, I will INSIST! :goodvibes

The Twas the Night Before Christmas show looks great! I have never even heard of it before your TR.

Your pool day sounds wonderful (minus the whole food cost thing)...we are going to have a couple of those on this upcoming trip as well. Hopefully it will be warm enough in January to still enjoy the pool during the day!

One last comment....I love Amanda's jeans with the Disney patches-very cute!
