2 For The Price of 1: One Trip Done; One More to Plan!

great spectro pics! glad you guys finally got to see wishes....even if there were trees in the way! i'm sure seeing it was magical though. i can't wait to see the castle all light up soon!!!!

Wonderful chapter....I think we need to ask Santa to bring all of us the bendy tripods.

I love how happy Miss Snow White looks while talking to your precious daughter:goodvibes Gives one goose bumps!!

OMG, that boat is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! But couldn't you take it to the Swalphin (stops there 1st from DHS) and then walk? Then you could have a little of both.

Great advice, Ellen! THAT is now the plan!! Thanks....BOTH of you!!

Alan

Ok, so Ellen is talking about taking the boat BACK from DHS; and, yes you could get off at either the Swalfin(I like that) or the Yacht&Beach.

I say, if there is no boat waiting, either when you're coming or going, you're better off just walking. I agree with Ellen - that boat is slow with a capital "S"!

My pix pale in comparison to your fireworks shots!

Did you ever get to the bottom of the what the starting time of the castle lighting will be while you're there?

God bless those characters! They really all do a very good job!

awwww...thanks! you're sweet. but mine are NOTHING compared to some of the ones on the "picture of the day" thread i'm obsessed with! i haven't dropped enough money on a camera to have shots like those people have!

as far as i know it's starting at 6:30. but i have a reminder on my calendar on monday to check steve soares website to see. you may already know, but he has a website that lists all the entertainment times in WDW and he updates it weekly. so i'll find out for sure then.

Ok - I'm blaming my camera for my lousy fireworks shots! It is no reflection on my picture-taking ability!:lmao:

And, yes, I do know about Steve Soares site but I always forget to print off the info I need. I think I may need to bookmark it so I won't forget for the next trip!

For the start of our third day, we had breakfast ADRs at 8:50 in Epcot - in Norway with the princesses! So yes, second day in a row that my girls and I are up and out by 8:30am. Seriously - this is shocking for us!

We all met out on the BW and enjoyed our stroll over to Epcot through the International Gateway! Man, I love going in that entrance - it's so peaceful and pretty! Another reason to love staying at the Boardwalk!

It was still officially before the park opening so I was expecting to see crowds at the turnstiles waiting for ropedrop. I was surprised to see that, when you go in through IG, you're allowed through the turnstiles and made to wait up at the bridge that crosses over to France. There was quite a crowd waiting - which made maneuvering through it, and uphill, with a wheelchair a little tedious. This is where my New York pedestrian attitude came in handy: put your head down, don't make eye contact, and barrel on through - all the while, saying excuse me, of course!;) Yeah - I cleared a path pretty quickly! Once up to the rope, I gave my name to a CM holding a clipboard and we were allowed through. The kids felt very special!

While our party waited to be seated for breakfast, my sister took our park passes and made the mad dash over to Soarin' once the park opened at 9. Our party was called at 9, but then we waited on line for about ten minutes to get our picture taken with Belle in her gold ball gown. This is the standard order of business for this breakfast: name called; get pix with princess in lobby; then shown to your table............

DSC03451.jpg

Once we were seated, we didn't have to wait long for the princesses to show up. Can I just say - they were great! We haven't done this meal in a few years because we've gone to CRT instead and I have to say - the Norway experience is soooo much better! The princesses really spend some time with you and engage in alot of banter with the kids. They were all so personable and not rushed at all - unlike CRT. Over there, they say hello, quick pic, then goodbye! And the breakfast food here in Norway was pretty good! Again, sorry for no pix but they have a buffet set up with some pastries, fruit, deli meats and cheeses, and various breakfest rolls. At the table, they bring out big platters containing scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and the most delicious cheesy pototoes ever! And the coffee is pretty good too! Overall, I think it's a much better deal than what you pay for at CRT - JMHO.

Now, on to the princessess.......first up - Sleeping Beauty:
DSC03452.jpg

I've had so many meals with these princesses, I kind of know how to start conversations with them. With Sleeping Beauty - I ask her why she wearing her pink dress and not the blue one. Well, she swears that she DID put her blue one on that day but the fairy godmother must have changed the color! This had my youngest niece mesmerized!

Next up was the sweet Snow White:
DSC03458.jpg

Just ask her about the dwarfs and she'll go on and on!

Mulan stopped by next:
DSC03456.jpg

Now you may notice my nephew is not in any of these pictures - he wanted nothing to do with the princesses. Mulan noticed him sitting in the corner and asked if he wanted to get a picture, which he turned her down. My sister explained he doesn't "do" princess pictures; to which Mulan explained, "Well, in my picture with you, I'm not a princess; I'll be warrior Mulan!" That won him over! The two of them struck their fierce warrior pose:

Next up was Jasmine, who was hysterical because, quite frankly, she kind of stepped out of character! As she approached our table, she noticed Amanda's Camp Rock t-shirt, which had a picture of Joe Jonas on it. She came squealing over, saying "I love Joe Jonas!" (back off Jasmine!) The girls were like, "You do? What about Aladdin?" Jasmine explained she would dump Aladdin in a minute for Joe Jonas because Joe was much cuter and had a better singing voice! Again, my youngest niece sat there, not knowing what to think!

And, because Jasmine has been Lauren's favorite princess since she was little, I had to get a pic of just the two of them. Funny how Lauren's shirt matches Jasmine pretty well - although Lauren has Nick J. on her shirt!

I try to get this picture every year we go. Here are some of Lauren and Jasmine from past years:

And 2007:

Look how my baby has grown! And Jasmine has held up pretty well too!

All in all, breakfast was a blast! We left very full and satisfied. It was now time to use those Soarin' FPs. While everyone rode Soarin, I took Amanda onto Nemo & Friends. We love that ride! Nemo is one of Amanda's favorite movies and, while I admit, nothing much happens on that ride, it's just pretty cute and colorful!

When everyone got off of Soarin', the girls decided they wanted to ride Nemo with me and Amanda, so off we went again.............

Once done with Nemo, we headed over to TestTrack. On the way, we stopped at a Photopass photographer in front of the fountain. This photog. was great! She spent about - no joke - fifteen minutes taking pictures of our whole family. I don't think I would have been too happy if I had been waiting on line, but we weren't complaining. She was setting up all different kinds of poses in all different configurations: just the kids; me & my girls; my sister's family; nana w/the grandkids. This photographer was in no rush at all! I have a ton of her shots on my photopass card - which I hope to edit this weekend and get the cd soon. I'll be sure to post the pix here but in the meantime, here are just a couple of the shots she took:

Now it was off to TestTrack. While every else rode that, Amanda and I did some shopping in MouseGears - love that store. After shopping, we still had some time to kill, so we went on to Figment's Imagination ride. Once everyone was done with TestTrack, Lauren and I wanted to take the cousins into Club Cool - they had never been before and Lauren soooo wanted them to try a few Coke beverages from around the world!

Lauren convincing her cousin to try Beverly........

My nephew didn't seem to mind it! (boys are weird!)
DSC03475.jpg

At this point now, it's approaching 1:30; we had dinner ADRs at LTT in MK at 4:30, which means we would have to head over there around 3:30. I really wanted to get Amanda back to the room for a little while so she could get out of her chair and stretch out for a bit. Everyone else was going to ride TT one more time (at some point, more FPs were secured). I headed back to BW the long way, so I could pass Mexico (margarita for me!) and Germany (pretzels for the kids!)

On the way, so excited to see our favorite dwarf! Once again, the CM spotted Amanda and I waiting on line in the blazing sun and she took us right up to the front - SO GRATEFUL!

Lauren looks so adorable in all the pictures with Jasmine, I love that you get that picture every year. :goodvibes

This was a great installment but I can't tell you how excited I am to read about you meeting Tinkerbell! :rotfl2:

I have enjoyed reading your trip report so far. How cool that you get pics of Lauren with Jasmine every year, what a reminder of how fast that they grow up.
I was wondering if you saw any families with just boys at Norway's princess breakfast? My oldest son wants to go there for lunch on his birthday (he read the menu online and wants to eat there), I just want to make sure that they won't feel to out of place there.

so cute how mulan became "warrier mulan" for your nephew! that's really cool. and i love the past pics of lauren and jasmine!

i can't wait to see your meeting with tink! i hope you get that posted before we leave on wednesday. ;) popcorn::

I love that Mulan became Warrior Mulan to make your nephew feel special! I would be like him....feeling a little out of place at the Princess' breakfast!!

I'm finally all caught up Cammie! I somehow missed your update. I love how Amanda has a special relationship with Snow White! It's amazing how she always knows she's Amanda's fav!:thumbsup2

Princess breakfast looks so fun! I can't wait until my DGD is old enough to enjoy that one! It will be a good excuse for me to have breakfast with the princesses. Mulan with your nephew was so cute!

I can't wait for your MVMCP!

Cammie I'm really LOVING this TR! All the pictures are just great. I didn't get to post after the one prior to the last one but the Spectro pics are so good :thumbsup2

Great update Cammie! Love all the pics of Lauren, she's growing up Mom!

I love the idea of 13 presents but -- did you hear that I blabbed the surprise? She's now knows about the Disney trip! I know - I have a big mouth. But I would still like to do something to special to mark her 13th; I just need to think of 13 "little" things I can wrap!

And - thank you to you and your girls for the "cute" compliments!:)

Lauren looks so adorable in all the pictures with Jasmine, I love that you get that picture every year. :goodvibes

UGH - those Giants today!

Did you happen to see SNL last night? They did a skit - "Plaxico's Tips for Handling a FireArm". Soooo funny! Anyway - we're still division champs!

I know you blabbed....you are almost as bad as I am at keeping secrets.:goodvibes

Let's think of 13 little things that you could wrap that she could use on your trip and beyond:thumbsup2

Ok, you evil maniac- I said I didn't know WHERE it was, not WHAT it was! And believe me...if you and I are WDW 2gether, there will be some OTHER poor, unsuspecting sap drinkin' that Beverly!:crazy2:

By the way...where's my DGF, Lonnie?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
