2 For The Price of 1: One Trip Done; One More to Plan!

Lunch note update: it was a HUGE hit! And the best part, Lauren wasn't embarassed one bit - she didn't take it out of the lunch box and show anybody - but she said it made her day!:goodvibes

Im so glad she liked it :cool2: ...thanks for letting us know

Yeah - "quaint" is a good way of putting it! That's certainly not a word I would use to describe Yankee Stadium though. You know, with all of those championship banners hanging around the stadium - it's rather jaw dropping and overwhelming!;)

WTG MOM!!

I can't believe it's just the first day of school though...my girls are in their
3rd week of school. I didn't cry this year....first time in years!! Guess I'm saving it up for next year.

(Cassidy told me to tell Lauren that she is insanely jealous of her...first Jonas Bros. now a Coach bag:rotfl2: )

Hi I'm subscribing to your pretrip. Your plans look great. Loved your mother /daughter trip report. So happy to be onboard early this time. Like you we are from NJ. I lived in Wall twp NJ my whole life until we moved to Brick NJ when DH and I got together. too funny, my DD gets so embaressed when I put notes in her lunch. Maybe I will ty the Jonas brothers one though :goodvibes .

EEK!!!

I was just reading someone's else PTR and found out that DisneyDining is now accepting ADRs through 2/23!:scared1: I wish they'd make up their minds. It had been announced earlier that they were going back to a 90 day booking window, but now that's changed.

You're welcome! I feel like I now have the clearance to put one in everyday - so I did again today! She came home with another big smile! A little Jonas Bros. can go a long way!:goodvibes

Third week already? Hasn't it been hot? We always go back after Labor Day; but the downside is that they don't get out until the end of June.

And as for Lauren - yea, I think she's had a pretty good summer - Jonas Bros.concert, Coach bag -- what more could a tween want?;) They've got a concert movie coming out in 2009 (I'm kept up to speed on all the latest JB news) - so tell Cassidy she has that to look forward to!:)

WooHoo -- another Jersey girl!   WELCOME!!!!

So you were a Jersey shore girl, huh? I spent many, many summers down at Avon. I miss it so much! Do you ever get a chance to go back?

Regarding the lunch cards - put them at the bottom of the lunch bag; that way your DD can see it but not have to take it out. A Jonas Bros. should make her smile!

Lucky duck! I would LOVE to move back to the NYC area someday! I miss everything about it!

I do too! When I'm there I miss grass and family, but my heart aches for the City when I'm here. At least you are fairly close and at least get the east coast feel! I'm stuck in the middle of a cow pasture. :rotfl:

YEA! Good move on putting it in the bottom of the bag. Smart momma! :thumbsup2

Hi Cammie! Your dinner plans so far sound great! Are you planning to stay in MK until 2am again? Do you plan your days around your ADRs or your ADRs around your park days?

I wanted to make ADRs for March this month, but then thought I had time, because they said not to call until January. :confused3 I wanted to use TGM to figure out our ADRs based on park days with lowest crowds, but TGM says plan your days around your evening activities - I don't see how that makes sense - maybe I'll ask him. In any case, I guess I should do some planning. :rolleyes1

Oh, who cares? You can't take it with you, right? With the airfare out of the way, I feel like I can really start planning!:woohoo:

Woohoo!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: for ADR's AND airfare!!:cool1: :cool1:

It's hot but it gets hot in May too....so it's tomato/tomahto. If you count band camp Cassidy is moving into her second month of school. I am not sure Cassidy will be in to the Jo Bros much longer...after all she is 16 (who am I kidding she's a big Disney geek like her momma...what other kid would pick DW for their grad present??)

Yay Cammie!!! Plane tickets AND ADRs!!!:yay: :yay: One question, though- isn't 8am at CP kind of early for you girls???:rotfl:

YAY! :yay: Congrats on the trip being official! You are the bestest Mom ever, Jonas Brothers, purses and DISNEY! I'm taking notes.... ("save a lot of money for Henry's teenage years...")

Yeah! I can't wait to see how you surprise Lauren! Did you get any more ADRs than the ones you described? I need to start looking for airfare for March - I've been trying to pretend it won't be that bad. :hippie:

EEK!!!

I was just reading someone's else PTR and found out that DisneyDining is now accepting ADRs through 2/23!:scared1: I wish they'd make up their minds. It had been announced earlier that they were going back to a 90 day booking window, but now that's changed.

Luckily for me, the ADR window just opened on Aug.30 so I wasn't too many days behind. I really have not given this Feb.trip much thought yet - thought I still had time. But this is the surprise trip I want to take Lauren on for her 13th birthday so I want the plans to be extra special. In a mad frenzy, I called and got three ADRs to start off with:

Sunday, Feb.15 - arrive sometime early afternoon; check in at SSR; get hair braided at GF salon; 6pm dinner at 1900 Park Faire w/Cinderella (Lauren loves this!). Then head over to MK for PM EMH - open unti 2am!

Thursday, Feb.19 - AM EMH at MK; 8:05 breakfast at Crystal Palace w/Pooh and Friends; MK for the day; dinner at 7pm at LeCellier in Epcot.

That's all I have for now. I need to look at the park schedules for that week to see where we'll be for the rest of our days. And hopefully, JetBlue will release their Feb. fares tomorrow, as promised. Once I book the airfare, I'll really feel like the trip is happening!:yay:

Woohoo!! Sounds like the plans are coming together nicely. I can hardly wait for the trip report! You inspired us to get our DDs hair braided at GF on our next trip. We were in a local restaurant last week and our server had just gotten back from Cancun and had her hair braided. (She said it cost $80 down there!) I asked DD if she liked her hair, and she said "yes! It's cool!"

I really love the EMH PM strategy. If DW & DD could keep up, we would do that also. In fact, DS & I may employ that strategy one evening for a "guys night out."

It's official! I'm surprising Lauren with a trip to Disney for her 13th birthday!:yay:

What an awesome 13th birthday!!!:thumbsup2

I live in the western suburbs of Boston - and I feel like even THAT is a little too country for me! Too dark and too much grass; give me the concrete jungle!

Hi Cammie! Your dinner plans so far sound great! Are you planning to stay in MK until 2am again? Do you plan your days around your ADRs or your ADRs around your park days?

Oh yeah - 2 a.m. again!:thumbsup2 It may sound crazy to stay out that late, but if you can do it, I highly recommend it - you can get alot done! As for planning my days, I'm all over the place with the way I do it. I try to get the ADRs I want first, and then arrange my park days based on that. I've never subscribed to TGM; doesn't he advocate avoiding parks on their EMH days? We always hit the EMH parks and don't really have a problem with it. But then again, we don't tour the parks commando-style.

Woohoo!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: for ADR's AND airfare!!:cool1: :cool1:

Giving up the Jonas Brothers?! :faint: We saw ALOT of high school girls at their concert; Lauren was quite surprised at how old many girls there were. So tell Cassidy it would still be "cool". Btw - the shrine to Nick in Lauren's room is being constructed as we speak (if only she'd put this much effort into her school projects!;) ) I wonder if she'd be embarassed if I took a picture & posted it here?

Yay Cammie!!! Plane tickets AND ADRs!!!:yay: :yay: One question, though- isn't 8am at CP kind of early for you girls???:rotfl:

Oh man - do you know me well or what? I'd say odds would be good that the CP ADR will eventually be cancelled. I thought it would be nice to be in MK early before the crowds one day - don't know if that will take priority over us sleeping in though!

YAY! :yay: Congrats on the trip being official! You are the bestest Mom ever, Jonas Brothers, purses and DISNEY! I'm taking notes.... ("save a lot of money for Henry's teenage years...")

Aww - thanks! Yes, having children will bleed you dry; but it's worth it!

Thanks for joining in!

Yay on the airfare - now it is offically official!! Woo Hoo!!

Thanks guys! I'm hoping to make some more ADRs today. Stay tuned!

The hair braid will look sooo cute on your DD! Hey, and at $50 - that's a bargain! And you and your DS could totally handle those PM EMHs - you two would get to do so much!

What an awesome 13th birthday!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks! So glad to see you're back safe and sound!

Oh yeah she'd be embarrassed...that's why you do it!!:confused3
Have you not learned that one yet??:rotfl2:

Cammie - we say that all the time!!!! We decided to have a child for the entertainment value! :rotfl2:
