2 Fast 2 Furious - what makes it PG-13

DS9 & DS8 want to see 2fast 2furious - now that it's at the $2.99 theater & it's supposed to rain, I am considering it. I have found that some PG13s are okay for them and others are extremely inappropriate - for example Spiderman, Men in Black II - no problem. Goldmember - what was their father thinking - the video is locked away in my closet - hopefully never to located again. All are PG 13.
So what is questionable about 2fast2furious for preteens?

Never saw 2 Fast 2 Furious, but both my boys have seen The Fast and the Furious, and I didn't find much offensive material in that movie....although it takes a heck of a lot to offend me. Now the DW has very different ideas about what's offensive and what's not.

I believe it's probably because of the street racing aspect. It has become quite the problem in some big cities and even some not so big. About a year a ago a local teenager near here was killed in a tragic street racing accident. He was a friend of my sister's. The other boy he was racing was also brought up on a bunch of charges. It was very sad.

That is almost a direct quote from DH after he saw Goldmember . But my 8 yr old quoting Austin Powers in public is not my proudest moment. If I hear "you got issues. Here's a tissue." One more time, I'll need an entire box of tissues!

According to screen it:

PROFANITY At least 1 possible "f" word (with another one silently mouthed), 2 slang terms for sex ("tapping"), 41 "s" words, 2 slang terms using male genitals ("d*ck" and "pr*cks"), 23 asses (2 used with "hole"), 20 hells, 15 damns, 1 crap, 1 S.O.B. and 1 use of "G-damn" as exclamations.

We'll have to pass on this one. 41 "S' words translates at least 4 "s" words out of DS8's mouth. Thanks for the link Cindy B. I have bookmarked that site for future reference.
