I have 2 DVC resorts for the same dates, how can I have the same guests on each reservation. Both are 2 bedrooms and neither will be over the guest limit.

Let us know what you are trying to accomplish in doing this and we can help you out.

You can just list them on each one. The problem, however, will be when you go to actually stay. You can't have yourself booked into 2 rooms at the same time...magic bands won't work.

So, what some do is add yourself as a different name and not choose yourself in MDE. Then, when you are at the resort, just get a card to use for opening the door at the resort you are not a guest tied to your MDE.

I have something similar coming up…DH and I are staying at a BCV studio on Saturday for 2 nights. On Sunday, 2 more family members will join us so we all will be checking in to a 2-bedroom for 5 days. (We did not want to be homeless from 11-4 on Sunday so we booked the studio for the Sat/Sun nights.) DH is lead guest on the studio room, I am lead guest on the 2-br villa. Does anyone know, will that overlap cause issues with getting into the rooms? If so what might be the best solution?

I do this a lot Once you check in to the new room. It will check you out of the studio.

I just go to the front desk and make sure they update your DH to show that.

@Sandisw, still need help. Here is what I am trying to do.
I have a 2 bedroom at one DVC and a 2 bedroom at another DVC for the same dates. Neither over guests limits.
I made my DD the lead on her 2 bedroom and I am the lead on the other.
They will have magic bands for their room.
I just want to add them to my room for the day to use our pool with us and not change Magic bands, just as guests. Do I just add them to my reservation with a different name or just use initials?
Couldn't get both rooms at same resort.

Yes, just enter some variation of their names and do NOT link them via MDE. You'll be able to get key cards from the front desk at check in, and they can use the key cards to enter the pool area and use other amenities at that resort.

Does that mean I still need to add My name to MDE (just my name). Or do I skip MDE altogether and just add everyone on the ressie in my DVC booking. Never tried this before.

So if we are not doing the parks (just rooms) I don't need to add my ressie to MDE, is that right?

I'm sorry, I apparently confused you unintentionally!

Yes, you need to add your reservation to your MDE account. Your family members WHO WILL ACTUALLY BE STAYING IN THE ROOM WITH YOU should also be listed on that reservation, and their names should be the same as their names in your MDE F&F list, so their MBs will work to unlock the room door, etc.

List your DD and her family on your reservation, but do NOT use their same names as shown in your F&F list in MDE. List them by some variation of their names, for example if your DD's name is "Dear P. Daughter" in your F&F list, you could list her as "D. Princess Daughter" on your reservation. The idea is that you don't want MDE to realize she's the same person who's staying in a different room, because then MDE will get all bent out of shape because she can't stay in two different rooms at the same time.

On the reservation for DD's room, she and her family should be listed by their MDE names, so that their MBs will be connected to the correct resort room door.

And when you check into your DVC villa, get your DD and her family members key cards - they won't be able to use their MBs.

Hopefully I've undone the confusion I caused....sorry!!
