Yes we have 2 Disney Visa's. Got the 2nd one when they started changing the way they applied payments when you had the 6 mos same as cash going. Well when I got the 2nd card (maybe 2 years ago?), I got a $200 sign up bonus in the form of reward points. I called up and had those 200 points transferred to my main cards points no problem.

Fast forward to tonight I called because part of our trip is on the 2nd card and I want take the 18 reward points and transfer to our main card. The rep says she cannot do that. I said what? I've done it before. She said no they can't transfer points from one card to another. Well I figure I"ll hang up and call back. Ya the next person said the same thing!

I can't even get the 18 reward dollars transferred to a new redemption card cause the first time you do it it has to be $20 then after wards you can transfer in increments of 10. Well I won't get to 20 before our trip (2 weeks).

Anyway I wondered if anyone else has had this experience recently? I'm still planning on calling back tomorrow and trying again. I want those $18 for this trip!

We have 2 Disney accounts too; and when I called the other day to get the reward money onto one redemption card, she said I had to get 2 diff. cards b/c it was two different account numbers/accounts.

Will your next batch of reward dollars be available during your trip? If so, just pick up a new redemption card at Disney and add the new point total to it.

Each rewards card is tied to a credit card account. You can't bundle rewards from two different accounts onto one rewards card - you'll need one rewards card for each credit card account, unfortunately.

As a pp wrote - if your account statement closes while you're in the middle of your trip and you'll have 20 rewards dollars available, you can get a rewards card made somewhere at DTD. Otherwise, you've got $18 in rewards all ready and waiting for your next trip! :goodvibes

Wait... if you've already had at least one rewards card issued for this account, you only need $10 rewards available even if you now need a new card. I've had rewards cards expire and had to order new ones - as long as this isn't your first rewards card issued on your credit account, $10 will get you a new card! HTH!!

They mentioned that in the OP. :goodvibes

i just ordered my redemption card yesterday and I thought it said you could go to any park guest relations counter to add/pick up a card. Hopefully you will hit the $20 mark by then. You could call and see if you can pay the balance on your card now even if it's not due yet and get the points.

Reward dollars are not available until the billing cycle is closed, even if you pay the balance early. As for locations where redemption cards can be picked up, here is the list from disneyrewards.com...

Pick up a Disney Rewards Redemption Card at these Guest Relations locations (present photo ID and your credit card):

Walt Disney World® Resort, located directly inside and outside each Park
• Magic Kingdom® Guest Relations Window
• Magic Kingdom® Guest Relations at City Hall
• Disney's Hollywood Studios® Guest Relations
• Epcot® Guest Relations
• Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park Guest Relations

Downtown Disney® at Walt Disney World® Resort
• Downtown Disney® Marketplace Guest Relations
• Downtown Disney® West Side Guest Relations

Right but a lot of people think that you have to transfer $20 even when you get a "new" card because your previous card expired. I've had to get a "new" rewards card in this scenario and was able to start it off with only a $10 transfer. That $20 rule is only applicable to your very first ever rewards card for that account.

Was that a little better explanation - I'm kinda having a hard time writing what I mean today. :goodvibes

Interesting. I have always had to do $20 when getting a card after my old ones expires. :confused3

Do you order new rewards cards online or do you call? I always order them through the link on the Chase website. I was prepared for the mandatory $20 transfer but was quite surprised that I was able to get a replacement rewards card with only a $10 transfer. I've gotten a few new cards (I currently have 3 Disney VISA cards ) this way so it wasn't just a one-time fluke.

Online, but I'll try it again when I order my card for my October trip. Thanks for the info. :goodvibes

I just called and got a very nice rep. She's going to add 1.80 to my rewards balance so she can mail a rewards card out to me. We will leave before my statment closes and not able to earn anymore rewards. The reps I got last night sucked, this one was very accomadating and anxious to help. Lisa Davis was her name. And I did when I opened the card maybe 2 or 3 years ago get 200 point sign up bonus and THEY DID transfer those $200 to my point balance on my other card. I've used it and do not have the reward card any longer, plus it'd of been expired. So I argued that I had already hit the $20 point and she put me on hold and then came back and said she'd add 1.80 to my reward total to get me to $20 and send out the card. Yay me!

I do realize the rules have changed and YOU CAN NOT transfer reward points between cards any longer. But I read about it on here at the time that others were doing it so I called and had it done for me too.

Very glad it worked out for you. :woohoo: Have a fantastic trip!
