We leave in 2 days for DL. Actually 49 hours and 40 minutes. I have started counting hours. I am so excited.

We are staying at the Paradise Pier hotel. I am wondering what comes in the room and bathroom. Do they have a coffee maker, blow dryer, soaps, shampoos, refrigerator? I just want to know how much to pack. We are driving so we do have limited space. I haven't packed a thing yet. Except for my disney box. I have my Disney book, some word searches, tickets and coupons, sunscreen. That is it. I have to work a full day tomorrow. DH has the day off so he will be doing laundry and starting the packing.

I can't wait. This will be my kids first trip to DL. They are finally getting excited. I have been excited for 3 months now. I can't believe it is finally here.

Thanks for any answers anyone can give me.

WOOHOO!!!!!

Have never stayed at the Paradise Pier but wanted to say I hope you have a wonderful time!

We are flying to LAX from the UK next Sunday (3rd) and I'm like you....have had the number of weeks to go marked on my kitchen calendar since we booked and now it's down to the number of days, I probably won't sleep at all next week LOL

Again, have an amazing time!!

Hi Allyson,
Wow. The kids first trip. How wonderful! I know you will have a wonderful time. We have stayed two times at the PPH. Our family really enjoys it and my kids love the pool and slide. They have life jackets there for the little ones, so it is actually possible for me to sit on the sidelines while the kids play, which is awesome!
As I recall, of our two stays, there was a coffee maker there once. But, it wasn't really that great of set up, in my opinion. Our secret to success at PPH was to order one of their room service breakfast with an extra carafe of coffee and requested extra cream, which they brought generous amounts of. (we each like about 3 cups of coffee in the morning, and then we save any leftovers for iced coffee in the afternoon) Seems like we got a breakfast that came with coco, juice, eggs, meat, toast or pastries and fruit. It was enough to get our family of four out the door and coffee for us and cost about $25 or $30 per day. Given that just a stop at the corner coffee shop would cost us at least $20 when all was said and done(and about 15 minutes of time), it seemed like a good value.

Don't forget to travel to and from the parks via the Grand California to save time and effort. Just head over that way and ask directions for shortcut to DL, or DCA if they are open. Following the signs to DTD will cost you an extra 10 minutes or so, plus the effort.

Also, the pool deck at PPH is a wonderful place to watch the fireworks, if you can't do so at the park. They pipe in the music for you.

Have a great trip and don't forget to do a trip report when you get back so that we can all live vicariously through you.
