Hi! This is my first post - so bear with me.

We are going to be at Disney World the end of Feb (Mardi Gras week 23-29). We have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. We will have 6 full days in the parks. My original plan was MK, EP, AK, HS, MK, EP, this is based on all of the research I have done. But with the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge I am considering making the 2nd EP day be HS instead.

Thoughts? We have an extra day at the end that is our travel home day, we went ahead and added the ticket for the day. Depending on how exhausted we all are we will probably fit in a half day at one of the parks before getting in the car to drive home (8 hours). My initial thought is to leave that day free and let my 6 year old decide which park he wants to visit one last time before leaving.

With a 6 and 2 year old another day at MK might be better time then 2md day at epcot or hollywood. Things for that age can be done in a day at epcot. Hollywood studios you can watch most shows and do most of the rides for that age

If they are really into Star Wars or Disney Jr., I might do another day at DHS. Otherwise I would do another day at MK. Epcot is huge and it would be easy to do another day there, but those ages would probably enjoy MK more especially on the last day.

Welcome, and is this going to be your first trip to WDW? I really don't think the new Star Wars area is going to keep your kids busy for any amount of time at those ages. Can a two year old really be "into" Star Wars? Perhaps a 6 year old can... but again, the crowds and the nature of the rides... I really think the advice you got earlier is apt - go to MK another day, and leave Studios for ONE (even rather short) day. They will love Disney Junior, and if they like Frozen, they'll love that show... and Toy Story Mania of course - get a FP for that one!! But it's definitely not a two day park. Epcot too, for little kids I think one day is plenty.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

So my son (6) is already tall enough to ride everything at DW. So he will want to do everything at HS. My daughter is 33 inches so she will be able to ride the 32 inch rides and who knows if she will hit 35 by then or not. I am not counting on that.

Our travel day in I was able to get dinner at Akershus so we will have the afternoon in MK. So we will have at least 2 1/2 days there. I was concerned that 3 1/2-4 days was too much of just MK with 1 day at each of the other parks.

My husband and I have been and my son went when he was 17 months my daughter hasn't been. My 6 is eh about SW but I am a huge fan (a life sized R2D2 was my ring bearer for my wedding).

From a purely rides perspective I know MK has the most for all of us, but I thought with Toy Story land, Galaxy's Edge and all of the shows at HS they might enjoy a 2nd day there more than Epcot.

Akershus is in Epcot. So not sure what you meant there... might be quite a hassle to get to Epcot for dinner if you are spending the afternoon in MK....

I think you will know more after your first day in HS - you can always decide later which park to repeat again. I know you want to get FP+'s in advance, but leaving room to change your mind is a good attitude to have. Whatever you decide it sounds like you and your family are going to have a blast! (Keep in mind as I said above - Akershush is not in MK)

Grr sorry, I was thinking off the top of my head we got Be Our Guest meal on the first night. Sorry the disney website and app are giving me issues looking at my plans!! I was able to book ADR for both and I knew it was one of the castles. 😳🤣

Of your choices, I’d say DHS. Epcot is pretty torn up right now and even when it’s not, my kids get easily bored in the world showcase which is a big part of the park. You’ll easily have time to ride all the rides in one day, so unless you have favorites you want to visit a second time, the other parks are a little harder to finish in one day. Next to Mk, DHS is my kids’ favorite. It doesn’t necessarily have as many rides as the other parks, but they are all favorites.

Good advice to allow for flexibility, I did that when booking our ADR. I made the resort reservations for later in the week so we wouldn't be tied to a specific park. I'll just choose a park to book FP for those last 2 days and let the kids be my guide.

DHS is a fairly small park. If you have 1 full day there, you should be able to take it all in. Our family loves Test Track, Soarin’ and the overall vibe of EPCOT, so that would be our pick (now and when our kids your your kids’ ages).

You don't need 2 days at Epcot. I know it sounds crazy, but I would do another MK day. If you've had your fill then pick between AK and HS.

Test Track is planned to re-open on 2/27. Something to consider if the refurb goes long. If OP leaves Epcot at the end they may catch it.
