Myself: Disney obsessed and a planner by nature. In a hurry to go no where and stressed about the inevitable. I know I sound like lots of fun to travel with (sarcasm) but I AM b/c I am very well researched no matter where I go. I am a Disney College Program Grad and know the parks inside and out so the experience is like no other I have taken numerous friends and they have had so much fun. I am also DISboard obsessed spending roughly half my day on the boards “doing what?” you ask with all my knowledge (HA) what else would I need to know? Well I spend DAYS looking at ‘PACKING TIPS’, “WOW we could have used that’ and “Crocs love em or hate em” threads that are all generally the same. OBSESSED! Ideal vacation: do and see EVERYTHING from Leave a Legacy to renting mouse boats to riding DUMBO! :woohoo:

DH: Daddy….We’ll call him “Relaxed” to be nice. He is a float through life kind of guy. Which though it is a healthy balance for me can be extremely irritating. He has the why do today what you can do tomorrow attitude…but loves me very much so he does his best to get fired up to go to DISNEY for roughly the 6th time in as many years. Basically his joy at WDW is seeing MY joy! Keep in mind his Ideal vacation is a beach with a comfy chair and a frozen drink….NO real activity….especially nothing that would break a sweat! Pray for his survival! :faint:

DD: We’ll call her “Chicken!” She is 10 months old and has no idea what Disney is let alone the shear horror of lights, characters and LOUD music that await her. She is my excuse for booking the trip though she will NEVER remember it. She is an absolute doll and TENDS to do best when we are on the go. But you never know…with children expect the unexpected I am often told and remember she can be high maintenance. On this trip the goal is to have her picture taken with atleast ONE character SMILING and get her Mickey ears with her name on them….no crazy expectations. Her laughter lights up our life and that is enough!!! princess:

Auntie: We’ll call her “Tiki” and this too is nice! This is technically a friend not a true Auntie to our daughter but as real as they get without being blood related. The nickname goes way back but long story short she doesn’t have the best luck. Cruise to the Caribbean = motion sickness; Whitewater rafting = a near death experience…went to Aruba = The Natural Bridge (A MAJOR LANDMARK) fell the day after they were there……just not super lucky!!! However her and her husband (his bio below) are our beloved GO TO couple. We do everything together despite her traveling mishaps. OK moving away from the nickname… Tiki is the type that reviews the menu online before going to ANY restaurant even at home and STILL has trouble deciding what to get. She asks questions like “Are your buffalo wings HOT?” and is thrilled when they say NO. And on another note she makes fun of me for planning like crazy and does not understand my disboard obsession yet she asks what type of shoes to bring TWO months in advance. Ideal vacation on dry land or in a pool with a frozen drink and a good book MAYBE a day of activities….but certainly not multiple character meals and early mornings. :beach:

Uncle: We’ll call him Scott since that is his name. Scott is your average guy that makes lists for grocery shopping among other things, has scheduled laundry days and always eats everything on his plate especially if he is paying for it. HA! That sounds so bad but it’s actually ALL true and is really funny. Scott pretty much just got roped into this trip and is enthusiastic about a few good daiquiris and a few good buffets. He is up with the birds (like me) and ok with doing and seeing the sites at any hour of the day so long as he gets a good night sleep and some down time. Ideal vacation would probably be Banana daiquiris, sun block and days ¾ full of activities. :drinking:

We as the 4 adults range in age from 27-29….still young though married and one child in the group! Like to have a few cocktails… :drinking1 OK I like to have A LOT of cocktails and am known for peer pressure and not knowing when to say when! This trip should be quite interesting…FIRST TRIP with a baby for DH and I and most likely Tiki and Scott’s LAST trip before becoming parents. We actually booked this trip when I was 4 months pregnant with “the bean” and needed something to look forward to….OK that sounds bad; BABY was plenty to look forward to BUT I needed something a bit further away to take away from my obsessing about names, baby gear and constant nausea. pixiedust: I will promise some stressful moments, PICTURES, MAGIC, some drinking and definitely LOTS of LAUGHS. I will put the schedule or “itinerary” below so we can see how well I do at sticking to it…keep in mind every single time we go to Disney I spend the entire year before PLANNING and have NEVER once stuck to the plan. :yay: I get too excited, flustered, anxious and basically run in every direction trying to take it all in….and we often miss alot. Oh and a side note my travel companions have been making fun of me, my itinerary and my obsession for almost ONE year now……they have no idea this will be the best trip EVER! :Pinkbounc

OK ALL PACKED UP AND READY TO GO….ALMOST!!!

Went to the post office on Saturday with 8 days to go and mailed diapers, food, wipes, formula, and WELCOME BAGS for my crew. :laundy: In the bags I have trail mix, sunny delight, icy hot for the feet at night, Tylenol, gum, Disney PEZ Dispensers, bandaids, candy, chips of all kinds, Spray Wrinkle Release, Lint Brush…..among other fun things…..so that is DONE. :mickeybar Tiki ordered the water (2 cases) from Staples.com so that is all set too. I am beginning to panic as we are 5 days away from our departure and I feel as if I am forgetting EVERYTHING though I am sure I am not. I started packing a month ago…how could I possibly not be ready. I have put together ziplock baggies for the chicken (this means baby you will get used to this name) containing 4 diapers, 2 swim diapers, disposable spoons, disposable bibs, 5 disposable changing pads, 1 DAWN dishcloth, 1 bowl of oatmeal, 2 Gerber fruits, 1 veggie, 1 meat and a bag of wagon wheels and arrowroot cookies for distraction. I have her stroller fan, her rain guard for the stroller, her UV protected sunshade, my SKIPHOP bag is packed and the Mac Quest is ready to go!!!! I have her outfits prepared for atleast 2 a day….hats check, SUNBLOCK check, toiletries check, baby motrin check! I have a favorite book and toy….a pair of robeez (someone on the boards said I can’t stand the baby next to a character with NO SHOES) and a pair of Stride Rite sneakers  We have the HIP HAMMOCK…we have the embroidered Tinkerbell towel, the extra beach bag for the pool, a float with cover!!! This is insane I have more stuff for one week than I have used in 9 months but the goal is not to be caught off guard!!! You will learn I don’t like change and I hate to be unprepared! With that said 5 days to go I ask DH to get all his shorts together to be dry cleaned LAST NIGHT…..lets just say unprepared is an understatement. I spent my morning on gap.com ordering him 3 more pairs of shorts to be 2 day mailed so he does not melt away OR wear the same 4 pairs of shorts day in and day out in 90 degree weather. Poor guy has no clue sometimes  But luckily we caught it and its all set. I ordered him CROC slides he protested a bit but when they arrived and he put his feet in them he realized how brilliant I am j/k…well not really  OK I know Tiki is totally packed and Scott is just about there just needs white t-shirts (not kidding he’s funny like that) MY bags are not PACKED but the clothes are ALL together sorted by outfit and I have enough for the week…I PRAY. Just remembered I forgot socks…..will remedy that tonight. I have called the hotel TWICE  to confirm that our room requests are IN…we want connecting rooms…the rooms have fridges and ironing boards and we are good to go. Put BIRTHDAYS on our hotel reservations for BOTH rooms since both Scott and I share September and just both turned 29. Hoping for balloons in the rooms!!! :rolleyes1 LAST task was to finish my LOMER FAMILY VACATION guide books for everyone. :surfweb: I think they are SO FUN…though I can tell my crew doesn’t think so. In these BIBLES TO THE WORLD I have our “itinerary”, menus to the places we are eating (on the FREE dining plan), snack options, Park Hours, Disney Trivia, Disney Insider Articles from the past few months, Walt E. Disney’s Biography, Hidden Mickey Info, Food and Wine Festival Information, Word Searches all Disney related of course, an article about BEHIND THE SCENES at WDW, pages to journal, take notes, write down stuff….and of course Disney Cruise info to plant the seed for our next trip. These books are all beautifully illustrated with clip art found on the boards…thanks fellow disers!  I will let you all know if anyone so much as opens my books….it was a fun project and I will not be crushed if no one appreciates them…ok maybe alittle!  Calling Friday to transfer my final Visa Rewards Points (have over $200.00)and calling Saturday to check in with Southwest and off we GO! OH I almost forgot here is the itinerary….we’ll see soon enough if we manage to stick to it though I am realistic enough to know that the times won’t be good just more a general touring idea! (if you compose your itinerary on www.disneyworld.com it requires you to pick a time…….. :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

:rotfl2: I made my itinerary on www.disneyworld.com and it required me to put times in order to enter an activity. :guilty: ...I have NO intention of sticking to the times....I am not THAT big of a drill sargent pirate: , my group will drag behind aand we have an infant touring with us. We will probably do 4 things a day :rotfl2: But thanks for the well wishes I am VERY excited. :Pinkbounc

Hide the pool hopping at Polynisian, I know you are renting a boat, but you might get whopped with the pool hop mention.

Hey, I have the using the same itineary on that web site, pretty cool. I am totally obsessed and it is fun to play with the itineary.

LOL, keeping 4 adults & a chicken on a timed itinerary will be challenging to say the least. Let us know how it works out.

just going to add to keep notes......remember next to the phones in your rooms are little pads of paper and pens........WRITE IT DOWN everytime you arrive in your room .even if it is to change clothes for the pool......
have an awesome time

:Pinkbounc thanks for the well wishes and advice. we are looking forward to our trip...getting more excited everyday. As for the itinerary it really is just more a list of the rides we would LIKE to hit not as much a clocked plan between baby, 4 adults, crowds, lines, bathroom and snack breaks as well as just taking the time to look around and enjoy BEING IN DISNEY I am well aware we will probably see HALF. :goodvibes

ALL SET TO GO UPDATED TRIP REPORT thanks for the well wishes we are ready to go....so excited for our enchanted call from MICKEY!!!! :Pinkbounc
