Our family was staying at New Smyrna Beach for the kid's winter break, so we set up time to go to DW for a couple days. We had a good friend of my daughter's with us on the trip, who had never been to DW before.
We left the beach early on 2/17, and arrived at Port Orleans around 9:00am. I had gotten a text our room was ready (we were in Alligator Bayou), so we put are stuff in there and went to the main office to get our parking pass. We then headed to the MK!
I had a few fastpasses setup, so we walked into Adventureland and the 2 girls went on Splash Mountain. My wife waited and watched, and my son and I (son didn't want to do Splash this early) went back to Adventureland, and did Magic Carpets. We went back, and the girls did BTMRR while my wife, son and I did Pirates. When we got off, the girls were doing magic carpets. We were hungry, so we went to Pecos Bills for lunch around 11:30 - no lines, nice. We then went to Fantasyland.
We hit Small World, and then I had a fast pass for Winnie the Pooh. After that we did Dumbo (my son played in the kids area for the first time), did some shopping, and then did the Little Mermaid. After that we did Philharmagic and got some ice cream. We decided to head out for a break, and walked out as the parade was heading down Main St (very busy). We got to see Malificent's dragon, which was very cool.
Got back to the hotel and all the girls crashed, so my son and I went swimming. After that we all got ready and went to eat at the Riverside Mill Food Court - which we loved. My wife was set with MK for the day, so the rest of us went back to the park.
I had setup fastpasses for the Jungle Cruise, and we got there just in time (around 7:40pm). We did that, and the girls went to do Pirates while my son and I did Magic Carpets twice. I had to get some water park passes for the girls set for the next day, so I went to guest services to have some very old ones we had put on our bands, and the kids went to the tomorrowland speedway. The fireworks were going off as they finished, and you could see them nicely from the exit bridge of the ride. The girls went on space mountain, and my son and I did the TTA, and then the Laugh Floor.
It was around 10, but this night was an extra magic hours night. My son and I headed back to the hotel, and the girls stayed for a little longer, coming back on the bus. Everyone was out like a light.
When we got up Thursday, we all went back to the food court for breakfast - which was great again. After that, my son and I headed to Lego Land, and the girls all spent the day at Blizzard Beach. They got there around 11, and didn't leave until about 4:40, using the buses. They went back to Port Orleans, and took the boat to Disney Springs. The did some shopping, and my son and I met them there for our 7:00 reservations at T-Rex. First time parking in the Orange garage! Really liked Disney Springs.
After dinner we were all starting to hit the wall, so we got back into the car and drove back to the beach for the rest of our stay.
Great quick trip to the world. Fantastic weather and a lot of fun!
