We'll [Father & DD19] will be in DL Sun 25th July - Wed 28th July; we'll arrive Sunday evening, time yet to be known were coming from LA, so it depends how much of the day we spend there. But we have 2 FULL days, Mon and Tues. We're WDW Vets, and we have a 3 day park pass, part of the SoCal CityPass, then we'll be leaving Wed morning going to San Diego. We've staying at the Best Western Stovall's Inn.

A few questions;

- With the SoCal CityPass, can we take the booklet straight to the turnstiles or do we have to exchange it at the Ticket Booth? [We would have already used some of the pass, at Universal]

-What's the best way to walk from BWSI to DL?

- Which day should we do DL, and which for DCA? As we have the 3 day pass, we get a MM, but I don't know if we'd be up and ready for 7am. I like to be there for park opening, but I think 7am is a wee-bit too early

-For the DCA day, we plan on mixing it with DL. DCA opens at 10am, so we might have a lay-in and get there for 10am, or go to DL beforehand - depends how tired or awake we are

-There are no World of Colour times, posted on the offical DL website, when will these be up?

My main focus of planning is Night Entertainment, and Aladdin. We know how fastpass works, so will utilised that during the day, and single line riders to ride what we want. We're not people who like to wait hrs+ inadvance for shows, we like to get there 15-30mins in advance

-SUNDAY, depending what time we arrive, I was thinking either going to DTD, or go and see Magical in DL, or maybe going to see the 8:50pm showing of Aladdin - but I don't think we'll arrive in time for that and people start queuing up 1/2hr+ in advance. Maybe third showing of WOC -- if on

-MONDAY, it seems right to start your trip with first day at DL. Be at rope drop for 8am. Ride want we what. Then hop over to go see Aladdin at 7;15pm, hop back over again to see F! at 9:05pm, Magical at 9:30pm. Or if we don't see F! see it at 10:30pm, then inbetween Aladdin and Magical do some rides at DCA. Maybe third showing of WOC -- if on

-TUESDAY - DL opens at 7am for MM, maybe get up and get there for 7am, ride Fantasyland rides, hop over to DCA at 10am. Ride rides, hop over DL see Parade maybe. Then evening see Aladdin if yet to be seened. This is WOC night -- considering the Dinner or Pinic Package but not sure

-WOC Fastpass, these FPs are available from DCA parking opening time i.e. 10am from Grizzly Rapids? Yes? The later you go the later showtime you get? But there's a limited supply?

-Will third showings of WOC times be posted?

Thanks :D

Whew, I'm dizzy from reading all that. My only tip would be to tell you, don't set aside a whole day for either park. That's what park hoppers are for. They are rightnext to each other. You can go back and forth. What I do is hit DL in the morning then head over to Storytellers restaurant in GCH then walk into CA and spend some time there. Maybe go back to DL for fireworks. You'll see when you get there. Hopping back and forth is a breeze and I'm 60 years old!

Hi!
I'll answer any that I can!

-What's the best way to walk from BWSI to DL?

Basically you would walk up West street, plast PP hotel, go through the Grand Californian Convention Center to Downtown Disney and walk through there. The private entrance to DCA through GCH is supposed to be for DLR guests only. They are very picky about this in the mornings, but hit or miss in the afternoons.

- Which day should we do DL, and which for DCA? As we have the 3 day pass, we get a MM, but I don't know if we'd be up and ready for 7am. I like to be there for park opening, but I think 7am is a wee-bit too early

I would do both parks both days. They are really close. Hit Disneyland in the morning before DCA opens. By afternoon/evening Disneyland gets really crowded, but DCA is not so much. Target all the rides with long waits first then have a more leisurely pace in the afternoons.

-There are no World of Colour times, posted on the offical DL website, when will these be up?

WoC is at 9PM, 10:15 and 11:PM. FPs are distributed at the GRR FP location. Since it's only been running for two nights everything will be different by the time you arrive!

Sunday night would be a good time to try and get one thing "knocked off your list" so to speak. People do begin queuing up for Aladdin at least 1/2 and hr in advance, and on a Sunday possibly more so. If you wanted to see WoC, you could make a Preferred Dining Reservation at Ariel's or the Wine Country Trattoria and get in for the 2nd show, but you'd need to arrive for dinner around 6:30 or 7:00PM

If you see Aladdin at 7:15PM you will not get to see the 9:05 Fantasmic! People camp out like you wouldn't believe for that show. Around 4-5PM people will start staking their claims by leaving one person to "guard their territory", by 6-7PM most people are firmly entrenched with their parties in tact, by about 8PM the CMs are making people stand up and the area is packed like sardines. You would be better off going to Main Street and starting to line up for Magical or go on rides until the first showing of F! is over and then get in the line up area for that.

By your trip as I said earlier, everything for WoC will have changed. It's just too early to say what's going to happen.

As was said earlier, it's a good idea to park hop both days. I'm planning on doing the dining package, because I don't want to have to get there at park opening to see the show.

Good luck on your trip, tell us all about it!
