2 day/3 Additional Day Tickets Special

My family of 6 - three over age 10 and three under age ten are going to Universal for 2 days in September. We already have two 2 day adult passes. Can we purchase 2 adult passes and get 2 child passes for free? And then allow one of the children under age 10 to use the adult pass? I know it is a confusing question...LOL

Pardonnez-moi as this was probably already covered somewhere on these boards but we have the buy 2, get 3 days free passes and we can only use them for 2 days (since we have to go home, back to work, school and reality). Can we just give them to someone at Universal and say "here, enjoy 3 free days" or not? I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I bought the tix directly from Universal and received an invoice for them with my name and credit card# on it. The CM (is that what they call them at Universal?) was very thorough, asked for the ages of all the children in our party, etc. Thanks.
PS - I just looked at the tix and it says they can't be exchanged, "must be used by same person on all days" - so I guess that answers my question.

we just got back (2 weeks now) we had these tickets. I have no idea which one was a child or an adult. They never asked me a thing. We went on one day with out the kids. I just pulled 2 tickets out. and they scanned them. Never said wrong ticket. Just have fun. They could have been the kid tickets I had no idea they looked the same.
Now in the afternoon it was interesting. My mom and step dad went later in the day. For some reason they had to have their finger scanned. First time. Which mom said was a pain. Because she was there for 10 minutes! They couldn't get it to scan. Which was odd they were scanning in the first place, they never scanned her before and this was day 3. So I don't know what that was all about. My step dad said they scanned him too but he just went right in.
We were never scanned.

I have read and re-read the rules and regulations that apply to the 2 day get 3 free and free kids ticket and no where does it say the ticket must be used for a family member. It simply states that for up to three adult ticket purchases you can get a free child's ticket with it. No where does it state that you cannot give the ticket away or sell it. If Universal was so worried about what you did with the ticket I'm sure they would have put restrictions on it which they did not. So unless you are some kind of high level Universal employee who can change the rules I think you had best just let people do what they want with the tickets they have legally acquired. I consider it to be like anything else I get as a free gift for buying something else (i.e. a bag I get for purchasing a certain cologne) I can do what I want with it once I get it. If I have no personal use for it I give it away. I somehow do not think a few people giving some tickets away will cause a great ripple in Universal's bottom line. If some people choose to try to be kind to others I do not think that should be criticized.

See, it's post like this that make me wonder why I even bother answering questions here. I've never claimed to be some high level employee but only one who sees these tickets everyday and know how the rules are enforced. I have always said all along that you can do with it as you wish and have only tried to inform others of what can happen to the tickets if they are sold or given to some stranger at the park. They can and have been confiscated. Believe what you wish. I'm done here.

Bev, I don't know why you bother sometimes People will do what they want with or without your well-intentioned advice and it seems to me all you get for your trouble are personal attacks

To others, I think Phamton has made it clear (well, it's clear to me anyway) that if you give the ticket away to a stranger there could be problems with them gaining entry to the park. If that doesn't bother you, go right ahead and do it regardless.

The way I see it, when I'm standing in line waiting to get into the park, the last thing I'm gonna be bothered about is trying to find someone with a child of the right age that doesn't have a ticket. After all, if they're in line for the park, chances are they'll have tickets already. I don't see that this thread is going anywhere - except round in circles

I apologize for the harsh reply- I can see you are someone who knows more than most of the rest of us about Universal. I really did not mean to attack you. My opinion is just that if you are given a ticket that does not have restrictions on it (and I see none except that it is a child's ticket) then you should be free to do as you please with it (without people implying you are scamming Universal somehow).

Phamton please don't stop giving us your invaluable advice. I agree with wilma-bride, in that you're just trying to help. Please don't grow weary in your well doing. It is definitely much appreciated by most of us.
