2 contracts, 1 night

If I have 2 contracts (same home resort, same Use Year), can the points needed for a particular night come from 2 different contracts?

For example, let's say I want to stay 1 night, and it takes 37 points.

Can I use 25 points from Contract # 1 and 12 points from Contract # 2?

Or do all the points needed for any 1 night (37 points in this example) have to come from 1 contract or the other, but not both?

I already have 1 contract. I'm thinking of buying a 25-point contract through resale (if one ever appears at the right Home Resort).

So I don't know the answer to your question. Would Disney put the resale contract under the same membership number as my original contract, if I'm the sole owner on both?

If both contracts are under one membership number, then yes you can combine the points for a single night. If they are from more than one membership, you would need to transfer points from one to the other or borrow enough points from one contract to get the total points needed for the one night.

If you purchase a resale with the same Use Year, make sure it is titled exactly the same as your original contract and then ask DVC to combine them under the original membership before closing.

when purchasing a resale like this, it also must be deeded exactly as the original. you cannot add or delete any names as they appear on the original contract.

I doubt that you will ever find a 25 point contract via resale. For a contract that small you are better off buying direct from Disney and avoid paying closing costs. If you buy direct it will automatically be part of the same membership and you would be able to combine points from multiple contracts for a single night.

Actually, I do see 25 point contracts in the Timeshare Store e-mails, but they go very quickly.

Yes the small point contracts tend to go fast. I put up a 60 point contract for sale two years ago and it was sold in 2 hours.
