Hi again

We have 2 cabins booked (one concierge, one not), and as we did it via a TA in the UK (who said he wasn't sure if he could connect the reservations as we booked them a different time) I sent an email to Disney asking them to connect the reservations, which they did, but then wrote they can't guarantee we will sit for dinner together, or even be in the same restaurant?!! Any ideas as to what to do?

Very very unusual normally if you link reservations you will sit together, I would ask again.

I think the. TA in the. UK is wrong who is it? Thomas Cook, or Virgin?

Contact shoreside concierge as well and ask them to do it.

Now if they were not linked on embarkation, then go to where they make the MDR assignments.

Since one stateroom is concierge, the concierge staff will make sure you get to sit together -- make sure the concierge cabin mentions this if it doesn't get resolved sooner. DCL may not be able to do it for you if the TA has both reservations. However, your TA is sadly mistaken; all he needs is both reservation numbers and he can link both reservations for dining. This will also allow you to make advanced reservations (dining, spa, excursions, etc.) for everyone. Those in the concierge cabin will be able to book first (and shoreside will assist), but those in the "regular" cabin can be booked once their online window opens as well.

Enjoy your cruise!

If reservations are linked you should be fine. Disney puts those disclaimers in all of the time. I've had the same thing. If you do everything the other responders say, it should be good before you get there, but if you find that you're not seated together when you get your key to the world cards, go to dining assignments upon boarding to have it fixed or the concierge staff, they'll get it handled.
