I am a few weeks away from my 11 month window for a June 2010 vacation. Our youngest daughter will be graduating college and she loves WDW. We will be taking her and her older sister to AKV.

The question is if we get a 1 br savanna, we get to see the animals but both daughters will sleep in the living room. If we get a 2 br standard, (possibly at Jambo to guarantee a pool view) the girls will have their own room I will, of course, ask them, but I welcome the opinions of fellow Disers. Any thoughts?

We don't have enough points for a 2 br savanna.

Why not try your luck with a 2 BR value at Jambo? I know you are not guaranteed a savanna or pool view, however there is an 80% chance you will get one or the other. There are only 2 rooms out of 10 that have parking lot view. We did this last month and lucked out with a savanna view. The pro is you save 100 points, the con, of course, is not knowing your view. If you can check in very early am, I think your chances of getting a savanna view are better.

:) I would get the 2 br. value as the PP suggested. You can animals from lots of places there...ther is so much to see and do at WDW not have a personal view of the savannah would not bother me....a child graduating from college, wooohooo:woohoo:

We are considering that as well. Last summer we were ina 1 br value and it was great. It was just the 2 of us and we were there for 11 nights. It is a dice roll in the view, and it is DD's grad trip. Tough decision.

Does anyone know fi there are dedicated value 2 brs? If so are there any of those that face the lot? I don't know if there are any dedicated 2 brs at Jambo.

I don't think any of the values are dedicated, they are all lock offs.

Thanks! You are correct. I just found a list of units declared that I saved. I don't think there are any dedicated 2 brs in all of Jambo.

That might have me leaning toward a Kidani standard dedicated 2 br. With a 25 and 24 year old with us, I think their own room with 2 beds would be practical and a peace keeper. Ah decisions! The beuty of AKV. So many great options.

The one bedrooms at kidani have an extra bathroom in the middle room, and they have a pullout sofa and a pullout chair, if that makes any difference.

That is true. DW and I just came back from a 2 br standard Kidani stay. Our original plan for 2010 was 1 br savanna view at Kidani. Our concern is would it be better to give our daughters their own room? The extra bath in the 1 br does help considerably.

Very good point about the extra bathroom. So lets see....3 bathrooms and 3 women...case solved.
