This was one of the LONGEST days ever!! Our flight was at 7:30 so I woke up at 4 expecting to have to load the boys into the car but to my surprise they were wide awake!!
I got lost on the way to the parking lot--that's what I get for not using my GPS-- but we made it to the gate within 15 minutes of the loading time.. phew!
Ty and P both slept on the plane, and Ty also slept on the Magical Express bus,
we arrived at the resort around 10:30. I requested early check-in but the room wasn't ready.. no biggie because I figured it would be ready in an hour or two...so I got the double stroller I rented and went to Old Port Royale to explore and get some lunch. While we ate lunch, cast members came with a limbo stick and tambourines, Ty joined right in!
P and I stood by a woman with a tambourine and he was grabbing at it, so she got one for him , but he kept trying to take hers--it was at that point that I realized he was trying to make her stop playing
After lunch (around 12:30) I still hadn't recieved my text but I figured it shouldn't be too much longer so we sat and relaxed for a while, after about 30 minutes I decided to go to the pool--unfortunately I checked our carry ons with our bathing suits with bell services

I let Ty sit with his feet in the water, but then he got all the way in, guess he didn't like the feet idea
He played in the water while I waited for my text... and waited... then at 3 I finally just got fed up and called the front desk who told me I should've already recieved my text more than 10 minutes ago

So I got the text, got Ty and was on my way, this was when I learned my first Disney lesson:
check if the hotel has elevators, if not ask for a first floor room...yup we had a 2nd floor room, 2 boys, AND a huge double stroller which was a pain to walk up and down the stairs..
We got to our room and I slipped the key in and SURPRISE it didn't work

luckily a repair tech was walking by, unluckily he couldn't get it to work either

so he had to call the front desk and get someone to bring a manual key and let us in...15 minutes later in the hot sun, I was miserable but finally they came!!
The room was cute and Ty loved it which was my whole point (I changed resorts 4 times before deciding)
We had a reservation at Yak & Yeti at 4:30 that I made originally expecting to get into our room early, so I called to change it with no problem to 6:30. I tried to get a little rest but the boys were both too excited, and honestly so was I!! As a way to save money I bought a lot of "pre-souvenirs"for the boys and put them in these cute bags
they had light up wands, mickey ears-personalized, autograph book & pen (Ty only) , personalized books (Toy Story -Ty, Nemo-P) and some other stuff, they both liked those
Around 5:45 we left for the bus for Yak & Yeti and an EMH night at AK... or so I thought, but I was WRONG,it was a regular night and the park closed at 8

we got to get on Kali River Rapids as the last riders, since they both were too short they got wristbands but nobody else was there to sit next to Ty so a cast member did,

We got soaked-P wasn't a big fan of that but he wasn't in a rotten mood either

While we were leaving AK I got P's special needs pass (not a pass) that would allow him to sit in a seperate area or go to the fast pass area where permitted..
Parents with special needs or children with a disability this was a LIFESAVERP has stood in line on rides and by the time we get to the front he would be miserable , so WDW

thank you soooo much for this
Unfortunately I lost mine a few times

but they gladly replaced it
Since it wasn't an EMH night we went back to the resort and swam in the Trinidad South pool-Ty's request- and went to bed ready for our next big day at Magic Kingdom!!
