2 Bedroom Standard View at the BWV????

How difficult is it to get a 2 bdr standard view??? BWV's are my home resort so I can book at 11 monthes, my dates will be Dec 15-20. Should I call day by day??? What is the best location you can recommend for viewing Epcots fireworks? Thanks I'm very excited I'm taking my best friend and her family, they have never even seen the BW area they stayed at the Disney Institute Villas once so I can't wait for them to see the BW!!!!!!

I have never had any problems booking the standard view for a 2 bedroom unit when calling at 11 months out. I have gone spring break week twice and Memorial Day week once and never had a problem getting the reservation. I did call day by day for the Memorial Day week but with the third week in March I just waited until the checkout date and was successful without waitlisting. If you are worried, call for the first night and ask if you should call day by day. Good Luck!

I really have no idea, but if I were in your situation I'd call the first day you can and ask. But I'll admit I'm a "take no chances" person, and its no real inconvenience to make extra calls. I was, however, told today that it will be a good idea for me to call day by day for my pref. view 2br for Nov. 30-Dec. 7th.

I was also told by MS that it was best to call day by day when making a ressie for Memorial Day weekend in a standard view studio.

If you're flexible, I don't think its a big deal to wait, but if you want what you want and that's it.....I would at least ask ms.

You absolutely have to call day by day for this... this is the toughest time period to book all year long!!

As for best rooms for viewing the fireworks... I say rooms 110 through 123 on either the fifth or fourth floor....

I was getting the impression that since "home resort doesn't matter" and any can get any reservation at any time, you wouldn't have to worry at all.

I don't think I've ever implied home resort does not matter Rich. Thanks everyone for posting! I'm not flexible on my dates so I guess I will air on the side of caution and call day by day I thought that might be the case with a standard view. We've always went with preferred view and since I've yet to recieve a BW view I thought I would try standard. Thanks again!

No, I didn't mean that you did. We just had a long thread that had as part of it, my contention that many DVC sales rep's use a line to try and get people to buy the poorly selling HH and VB resorts. They constantly say "Home resort doesn't matter, buy at XX, the MB program is better", someone was trying to say that this statement is not a lie, the 7-11 month windows are meaningless.

I apologize if you hadn't seen that thread, I guess it was a lost allusion.

Actually Rich I've reading the one on the debate board that began about the dog at WLV. I appartently had an honest DVC sales rep "Diana Henry" she was very clear about buying where you will stay most often and we did. It is very sad for those less informed that have been told this by less than honest sales people and bought believing it!
