hey gang....i have a 2 bedroom for December.....I believe its a 1BR with a studio.....question...is there room in the living room for an air mattress? We are taking my aunt and mom, AND, are thinking of surprising the kids....Mom and Aunt are taking the studio, and one kid would take the couch in the 1br...can an airmattress fit? Thanks gang....

You'll have no problem with a twin size air mattress. We used one in a studio at SSR last summer and in a 1BR at BWV in December. One kid got the sleeper sofa and the other got the aero bed. We'd fold the sofa sleeper back up every morning and lean the aero bed up against the wall, out of the way.

Which resort? If you are at OKW, you will have plenty of room.

We were just in a two bed room in SSR and used a queen air mattress instead of the pull out couch. Worked great, just kept it in the master bedroom against a wall during the day.

Do you guys fly and bring these air mattresses? I have thought about it, but we are flying and not sure how well that would work. Do you put it in a suitcase? Or do you take it as carry on? My twins don't really like sharing a bed (but the have on all of our past trips---but they prefer to sleep seperately).

Thanks,
DJ

The past two times that we have flown down, I have taken the air mattress and pump in my second bag, which was a sports bag type. However, now with most airlines charging for second bags and such, it may not make economic sense to do this. In the future, since most of the time, we will rent a car while we are there, I probably will just buy an air bed at the local Wal-Mart, (they run anywhere from $25 to $50, depending on the type you get.)and just bring the pump with us in our luggage. (It's the air bed that takes up most of the room and weight when packed.) Have a great vacation. :cool1:
