Just booked a 2 bedroom for May 2008. MS asked if we wanted dedicated or a lockoff,we said dedicated. I know the difference between the two but is one really any better than the other? What do you all prefer?
Our first trip home will be in a studio in Sept.(just had to throw that in)we just got added to the system on weds:dance3:

It depends on your situation. The biggest difference is in a lockoff there is a separate exit/entrance in the second bedroom. A dedicated only has the one entrance in the hallway. If you have kids in the second bedroom, you probably do not want a separate exit, there is a walk-in closet instead. If there are adults in the second bedroom, then you may want it. Also in a lockoff, there is a kitchenette in the second bedroom, in a dedicated there is a second bathroom sink and counter. The lockoff also has a little porch off the second bedroom, the dedicated does not.

At OKW, all 2 bedrooms have 2 queens in the second bedroom. The other resorts have a queen and a sofabed in the second bedroom in a lockoff.

The one time I've been in a two bedroom was with a friend and we liked having the extra bathroom sink so we both could be getting ready at the same time and we each had our own sink counter. We ate with our other 2 friends in the kitchen, so we didn't need the separate kitchenette. Plus we each had our own closet.

I've got to agree with DebbieB. One other small difference is that the lock-off gives you a separate climate control for the second bedroom. That might be helpful if some people are more temperature sensitive.

Also, we like being able to use the second toaster & coffee pot from the lock-off (we bring them into the kitchen) to speed up getting going in the morning.
