we have teenagers who are just starting to make their way by themselves at Disney they like to be close to hotel amenities and those are my options. Which would you choose? TIA

If you stay at OKW, they can hop the boat over to Disney Springs. Not too far from Epcot. You'll have more room at OKW, but an extra bathroom at KV.

With two teenagers I would do OKW. The 2 bedroom units are huge, and if the kids get tired of each other, my son says the fold out chair was very comfortable.

We much prefer Kidani. The only thing we don't absolutely love at AKL is the Mara QS. It's not nearly as good as some others. But the resort is unique and easy to navigate on foot (OKW is so large and spread out). The buses have always been reliable for us. Boma and Sanaa are some of the best TS meals on property. There is so much to do and see there. The night vision animal viewing, the savanna lookouts, drumming in the lobby, even the gift shop (especially on Jambo side). We tend to prefer staying at Jambo because we love being near the big lobby, but when we stay at Kidani we definitely appreciate that 3rd bathroom!

I think your teenagers would love being able to boat over to Disney Springs. The villas are bigger as well. Kidani is beautiful and the animals are a big draw. I would show them the pictures and see what appeals to them.

I would of definitely preferred Jambo for all those reasons but it wasn’t available in a 2 bedroom even before the 7th month, it was the only week the whole summer that was not available at the 7 month mark.

But the JH two bedroom is a lockoff, with no extra bathroom off the entrance to the villa and no separate shower in the master bedroom.

Oh wow. No separate shower in the Master bedroom, I didn’t realize that. Thank you for the info.

Yep, since they converted hotel rooms to villas, they didn't do a lot to the bathroom. The shower is in the tub and the bathroom is right across the hall from the master bedroom, not in the master bedroom.

Is anything available at Kidani? That third bathroom is a life saver, occasionally.
