One option is to do a point rental right now for the 2BR via DVC Rental Store (for example), and partially fund this (once booked) by cancelling your existing reservation snd renting out the returned points. It will probably cost you a bit of cash net net, though.

Not for your dates, but I've been able to get BWV at 7 months multiple times. I actually booked 10 nights at BWV at 5 months out for our next trip. 2br villa every time. Maybe I'm just lucky.

BW is impossible. They are all lockoffs.

I've booked BC 2BR quite a bit, but 9 days is going to be tough. I doubt this is possilbe.

There just aren't a lot of 2BRs in the system. It doesn't take a lot of bookings to block a 9 day reservation. If you are willing to split stay, this is probably possible on one half or the other of the trip, maybe even at BC.

I've had luck with BWV, but can NEVER get BC. Not even for a split. And I'd like to stay there at least once. Weird how things work out sometimes.

We managed to book a two bedroom for 7 nights at BCV this Easter commencing on Good Friday. I was surprised we were able to get it for the Easter weekend.

This is incredibly helpful! It seems Easter is a good time to book a two bedroom suite at the seven month mark.

A question, if OP were to borrow points from the next UY at the 7 month mark in order to book a 2BR then cancel their two studios, the borrowed points could not revert back to their UY because they have become part of this UY, right ? So then what are OP’s options- bank some of this UY points into next (if within banking window), effectively replacing next UY’s points?

Yes. Banking and borrowing are one way and one time transactions. Only do them if you are 100% sure and as late as possible.

Sometimes its luck, sometimes its when you travel. Sometimes (although by your join date probably not) someone will tell you they had no trouble booking BCV and it turns out it was15 years ago (we didn't have a bit of trouble booking BCV in a two bedroom about a decade ago in late August - but that isn't terribly relevant to todays booking patterns).
