My husband and I will be staying in a 2 bedroom lock off for 8 days. We have friends and relatives coming in at different times throughout the week to stay in the attached studio; some staying Fri-Mon, others Mon-Wed, then the final group Wed-Fri. While there will never be more than 7 people in the room at the same time, all tolled 11 of us will be in the room at some point. Do I simply call member services and provide the various arrival/departure dates in order to ensure Magical Express and room keys for all of our guests? This is OK, right? Should I anticipate a problem? :3dglasses

would start if myself -on dvcmember.com and the click on under your reservation number

disney's magical express

now if refused to allow what you want - then call ms.

My sister moved in the time between making the reservation and filling out the form for ME. Because her address was different, MS sent me an e-mail telling me about the problem. I dealt with it and now it's fine. So the people on the reservation and on the ME form have to coincide. Be sure that the people you want ME for are on the reservation.

You may need to call Member Services and explain the situation, they may need to break it into two separate reservations, as each person using ME has to be listed on the reservation.

I agree with Chuck - everyone who wants to use ME must be listed on the reservation. You'll need to call MS.

It actually looks like it may need to be three reservations (Fri-Mon, Mon-Wed, Wed-Fri) in order to accommodate everyone for ME purposes. MS should be able to link all together and accommodate the change - hopefully.

Good luck! :)

Yes they will break it into 3 reservations and add linkage notes. Good news is that each segment can do different or no dining plan if they want.

I thought they had to change room sizes or resorts to get different dining plans. And change villas.

I think the system automatically links reservations for the same party in the same room type at the same resort. Since this reservation will have different traveling party names when it is broken up, I don't think the system will link them, and would likely allow the different DDPs, if wanted.

But, maybe the system only recognizes the lead name on a reservation? If that is true, then it probably won't allow separate DDPs.

The good news is DDP isn't an issue (none of us want DDP). I wanted to run this by you all because sometimes I know CM's have various levels of knowledge and I have to be sure this plan will accommodate all of my guests...
Again, at no time will more than 7 people occupy the 2 bedroom but 11 people all tolled in and out for the week.
My husband and I are the mainstays from a Friday - Friday.
The CM allowed me to put 9 people on the reservation and we chose the 9 based on who would need ME. That leaves 2 guests off the reservation which concerns me for 2 reasons...they'll need room keys and they will need to drive through the gates and park in guest parking. CM's response was front desk would issue them "guest keys" and they simply tell front gate they're "visiting guests in the Villa's" to get in....later obtaining a parking pass from front desk.
Does this sound right to you?
Personally I feel like there's too much assumption.

You should be fine. Just go to the front desk and tell them to remove 2 from the reservation and issue keys for 2 new people. You can have multiple parking passes for a room.

I'm not sure that's a good plan. When our 2 guests " who do not show up on my reservation" arrive, our 2 kids will still be there obviously needing their room keys until they check out late that night. The remainder of the guests will arrive later in the week. I can't remove 2 from the reservation without voiding my kids room keys or interfering with ME for our later guests. The thing is, I'm trying to button this up now so I'm not back and forth with front desk then.
