2 Bdrm AK Jambo & BLT! Wow!

Just got back and wanted to let everyone know that I stayed at both AKV Jambo 2 bdrm savannah view (3 nights) and 2 bedroom standard Bay Lake Tower room (4 nights). Both were fantastic!

At BLT our room looked right at the pool and was dead center in the "c", I was told it was one of the largest rooms. We were able to check in at 10am.
Super quiet never heard ANYONE!

At AK Jambo, we were on the Zebra trail right in front of the watering hole. LOVED this view. Tons of animals all day long and super close elevator ride down to the pool.

So happy we did a split stay and got to see both hotels! Any questions?

We are doing a split stay next month with BLT 1 BR Lake View and AKL Kidani 1 BR Savanna view and we are so excited! We were originally scheduled for 7 nights at BLT, but since we just bought DVC and AKL is our home resort we really wanted to get over there so we added a night and now it's 5 nights BLT and 3 nights AKL.

A few things...

What was your strategy on change day? Did you check out early and head to the second resort as early as possible? Or did you hang back and take your time? What time was the second room ready? This is our first split stay and I am not planning to do a lot that day but I want to have the best strategy ready to go.

Also, did you take the monorail from BLT to Epcot? How long does that take? We will have our car and I wondered what is quickest when we have ADRs in Epcot.

How exciting! I did online check in for both resorts before I left. When I got to BLT at 10am my room was initially not ready, I asked if there was any chance at all that there was a room ready and gave sad puppy dog eyes and she said no problem and got us our room keys. Was actually quite surprised! 2nd floor looking at the fountains and pool. Beautiful view! We initially were going to rent a car from the car care center but ended up not getting it nor needing it (we always rent cars too). The monorail to Epcot took 10 minutes, I would say. We had AMAZING luck the entire 8 days with buses and monorails showing up right when we got there, not kidding, it blew us away. Very easy to get to epcot from BLT.

On check out day from BLT, bell man came up to our room to get the luggage and we gave him $10. Then we just got on a bus to AK park, planning on switching to the AK resort bus once we got there. The bus driver let me know to just stay on because he was headed there next. Easy easy! We wore our swimsuits under our clothes because we were headed to Blizzard beach. I checked into AKV at 11am and was told our room was not ready yet, no worries. Got a text while we were at BB at 3:00pm that it was ready so we headed back to the resort. When we got to our room all our luggage was sitting there. Honestly couldnt have been easier. Zebra trail was amazing by the way!!!!!!
