2 and 4 yr old - do you go to ALL parks?

Yes, you should plan on visiting all the parks! Each has their own charm for children of this age group. My kids (almost 5 and 1 at the time) loved MK of course and we did spend more time here, but much less time at DHS except for Playhouse Disney area which the one year old loved! They also enjoyed the Block Party Bash parade and my four year old liked voting at the American Idol stage show.

We really enjoyed AK Safari ride and walking the animal trails. My one year old loved strutting around here as well. This was a nice break for the day and my DD even got to ride the Everest Ride...which she loved!!!! We got the Picinic in the Park for lunch and enjoyed it while we watched some live entertainment in Africa.

At Epcot my DD enjoyed the Innoventions areas and the Coca Cola testing area. Flower and Garden was going on so there was lots to see and the Butterfly garden and play areas were a big hit with both kids! Nemo show was awesome and kept DSs attention most of the time and it was a long show. DD loved Test Track and Soarin while DS enjoyed the play areas. They should keep those play areas year round...they were great!!!! DD loved loved loved the new Kim Possible experience. It was really cool for the kids (and adults). DS liked the Living Seas area the best and the Nemo ride was a hit with him while DD watch the Turtle Talk show. DS wouldnt sit for that at the time but it is appropriate for that age if your two year old can sit for shows.

Yes, there are plenty of things to see and do at EACH park for kids...just do some advance planning and make notes of all that your family would like to see and do when not at Majic Kingdom! Have fun :)

On our next trip in December my Daughter will be 2 1/2 and Son will be 6... We have visited the world 3 times and we always do all 4 parks... If we are vacationing for a week or more we always try to spend 2 to 3 days alone at the Magic Kingdom for all of Kiddie rides and attractions... Our favorite place to eat is Crystal Palace with Pooh and his gang. At Hollywood studios we always attend the PlayHouse Disney Live Stage Show which is always something the kiddies always enjoy... We went to Play and Dine for lunch and didn't care much for it... This year i think were gonna lean towards a more silly meal maybe 50s Prime Time or Sci Fi Dine in theatre which we have never been to... Animal Kingdom is my favorite... I love anykind of broadway musical so for me to be able to take my children to see Festival of the Lion King and to Nemo's Musical, it just makes me soo happy cause it gives them a new way to appreicate the arts... We love to eat at Flame Tree BBQ which is a Quick Service spot is just great... My DD's first visit to the world was for her 1st Birthday and some of our fav pics are of her grubbin on her first taste of there BBQ!!! Epoct is my sons favorite park... We love spaceship earth... And the educational attractions... Epcot has the most table service rest. we have been to many of them and can't think of 1 bad thing to say about any... Our fav is Coral Reef... Well sorry for blabbin on... We trave in early Dec and gettin a lil excited if you haven't already noticed!!!

Thanks for all the hints everyone! My kids will be 6 and 2 when we go. So any tips as to how many "musts" we should have on our list?? My DDs are up early so being at the parks for rope drop won't be a problem.

Forgot to say that we usually take a "resort day" after 3 straight days of going to parks. That revives everyone. Just hanging out, swimming, etc. Oftentimes, we end up going to DTD for the evening. We definitely find a couple of evenings or a whole day to spend at DTD. We enjoy it almost as much as a park!

My family is DD12, DD9, DD6 and DS3. We have been going to Disney/ Florida nearly every year since our first daughter was an infrant. I'm sure you will get many 'musts' from other DISers but I wanted to put in a plug for what I quoted above. Do not schedule more than 3 park days in a row. We usually do 2 then we have a resort day. I consider this a must!

Also, we make a vacation schedule then adjust it, adjust it, adjust it. I have heard, and seen, of parents who drag their children around according to the schedule they made, even if no one is enjoying it. The purpose is to enjoy Disney and your family. Like I tell my kids...if you can't be happy here where can you be happy?
